  1. They MUST BE PAID. the city won't hire you if u owe them $$$.
  2. The city will not hire u if u owe them any kind of $$...parking tickets, traffic tickets ect. If u have tickets out of state or Long Island your fine. They just want to make sure u don't owe them (city of New York) before they give u a job.
  3. Exam session date 5/21...the pm session. If u didn't take the exam during this session then your fine. If u did, there's a possibility your score changed.
  4. It only affected those people in that session. Your score either went up or down by 2pts or stayed the same. If your at the top with a 97 and drop down to a 95 it doesn't matter bcuz they've called up to that for PE. By the time they call more ppl for PE, they should be using the official list with the adjusted numbers. People shouldn't really worry unless u took the exam during that session.
  5. It hasnt even been 90 days since we got the first letter
  6. Doubt it will take a year to reach 1,000 if they are already at 430 in 2 months.
  7. That’s wassup. Chances are we’ll get called for train operator before fire. My concern would be accepting the job & then not being able to do certain things for fire like medical, physical & ect. because we’ll be in training and I know u can’t miss any days.
  8. Nice. My number for firefighter & train operator are literally 1 digit apart. 112x and 112x lol
  9. Score changed from 91/166x to a 93/112x. A bump of 500 spaces for 2pts. Was also told that the exam was officially established last week. Not sure how true that is though.
  10. Did u get a letter for pre employment? Gonna call on Monday to find out what my list number is.
  11. Received my results in May like the rest of you and noticed that I had a 91 list number 16xx. I knew I had 4/60 wrong which was a 93. I sent a letter to appeal the results. Today I got a letter from MTA saying my “Original” test score of 93.33 was reviewed and my appeal is denied. It says I got 56/60 questions right so my score will be unchanged. Looks like they corrected their mistake and some of us may have new list numbers once the list is made official. Any idea what range the 93’s are in? I would assume a nice bump from 1600 to the low 1,000’s or even 900’s. If I didn’t have the paper mta sent me in the beginning I would be looking crazy right now.
  12. In terms of the list, it will affect it. But I doubt by much. Tbh it probably wouldn’t even be noticable. A person could have done really bad in the exam, their score gets adjusted, it doesn’t affect anything lol. You will have people that move up and down the list but for those who’s scores were graded properly, I’m pretty sure they are safe
  13. Could mean u made a mistake and really had 5 wrong instead of 6. Or u really had 6 wrong and they messed up on the grading and gave u credit for an extra answer. But either way, MTA for sure knows that there was an issue and They’ll def have to fix w.e it is before they drop a list. As I said before, it won’t affect everyone’s score just a handful of people.
  14. There were a couple thousand people per session. But it’s only for that one session. And it will only affect some people in a session. For example if mta states the correct answer was A when it was really supposed to be D. Those who put A got credit when it should have been wrong. Those that put D got it incorrect when it should have been right. If u put b or c it was wrong anyway. So pretty much those people that got their question right score will increase, if u got it wrong but had chosen the answer they put that was supposedly right, your score will decrease. Those people that chose the answers that was wrong that weren’t affected scores will remain the same. Hope u understand what I mean lol. Tried to explain this as best as possible. But MTA for sure messed up on the exam. They told me personally and it confirms with my answer key and someone else in this group that got 100 but received an incorrect score.
  15. Might be awhile before It drops. Transit is aware that they messed up on some people’s grading in a particular session. They are gonna re-grade that session and send everyone new scores. I can’t see them releasing a list knowing of this issue. It’ll only affect a handful of people though.
  16. Same way how u just wrote that...tell them that. Mta don’t really care about background. It’s no time like police, fire or corrections... just be honest.
  17. He might have been called. But I heard your list number helps when it comes to seniority.
  18. Nice...well at least we know why...this should bump my number from 1600’s to 8-900’s
  19. U had no wrong answers...so the score they sent u calculated to u having 1 wrong?
  20. Hey..I took my exam 5/21..the pm session. I noticed that my score was a 91.6 (5wrong) but on my answer key I had a 93.3 (4 wrong). I sent a letter to appeal my exam. Called mta today and I was told that there was a problem with that sessions grading. Question number 42/43 I think. So they’ll re grade the exams from that session and everyone will get new letters from that session.
  21. Not to be a dick but you won’t qualify if u didn’t have your license by the application period. It probably says permit because they used a template that they send out for other jobs like bus driver.
