    Well I know because I have family that works in the union and also that are station agents and conductors. There is also an article that was posted about it a few pages back. That’s our point tho. The hiring didn’t make sense but it is what it is. We’re all moving forward. But the unofficial list definitely does exist.

    I don’t think anyone is hating. The problem is that MTA has everyone waiting on this list for 4 or so years. Instead of making the list active they called provisionally instead which is weird. We’re all happy for everyone but wish they went about it how they usually do for every other list. Anyway, glad everyone is making progress. Good luck people.

    Go back a few pages in the thread. A few people stated that they have been working as a provisional. But also, it is know that mta does hire provisionals.

    That’s fine. You don’t have to be dressed up. You can wear a polo shirt or button up with jeans and sneakers(any collared shirt) if you’re going for a drug test then it’s simply just that, don’t worry about the other stuff yet. Just make sure all of your paperwork is done and be prepared to wait. Good luck!

    This isn’t my first time. I’m already well aware I may take multiple trips, I appreciate the realism that you shared but maybe word it different next time lol. Comes off a little harsh. Anywho, well see what happens. I’m just happy the process is moving along because I was on the conductor list and got cut about 100 shy before the list expired. Saddening.

    Low 1700s, I go for pre employment on feb 1st.

    Just got my score and my pre employment papers in the mail and I’m in the 1700s. Things seem to be moving but probably no method to the madness apparently.

    That as in the original announcement when the test was givin. I am unsure how much it is now but I think someone answered it one or two pages back.

    Starting $19 (when the list was posted) top pay $27.

    Finally got my like number 17** hopefully it comes through. I was completely bummed about the previous conductor exam closing while in the process... do station agents do any other duties besides the booth? Anyone know anything about the provisional list?

    You just have to look neatly groomed, your uniform is provided to you by TA. But to my knowledge you can express yourself as long as it looks presentable.

    It is ridiculous. I guess they’re anticipating the need for a lot of people. I can’t really think of any logical reasoning for that. Been waiting 3 years for results. I don’t understand what’s the hold up.

    That’s not true, because They did the same to me, and I know for a absolute fact that I was 100% clean. They just never reached our list number for the medical portion. And I only know that because I know people in the union.

    At least I’m not the 33,000th person lol. Makes me feel a littttttle better lol. Only 18k took the test the last time. It doubled. Sheesh lol

    Yeah but with the amount of people that took it this time. I scored way better but I’m even higher on the list. It’s crazy. Better luck next time. If you didn’t score a 95 or better then you may have little to no chance.

    Scored in the upper 1/3 but still to high for me to ever think I’ll get called. Welp on to the next career lol
