Awesome. I imagine that they get millions of applicants for track. That's probably why they don't post for it very often. I think i applied for it a few years ago, but they never called me for it. I applied for engineer in April, and they hit me up 7 months later. Are you in the hiring process for track? Sorry, I have not read the entire thread.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. I'm already in the process for Loco Engineer. I was asking for a friend of mine who wants to get on track. I'm always checking the boards, doesn't look like they hire for that much.

Thank you. They already called me in for the S&D overview. They E-mailed me an invite 8 days after the cognitive test/ interview, which suprised me because they told me to expect to hear from them in a couple of months if i passed.I'm definitely not complaining though! I'm just waiting to go in. lol I'm most definitely keeping the faith, thanks again.

I passed the cognitive/aptitude tests, the interview and now i'm waiting to go in for the S&D overview.

It takes some time to get that initial contact from them. I applied Apr, 2017. They contacted me a few days before Thanksgiving. Seven months is actually not too bad I guess.I applied LONG before that for other crafts and never got a call back. Not sure about any pre-screening phase though, sorry. Stay positive. If you have what they're looking for even remotely, they'll contact you. GOOD LUCK.
