    Do you have a idea on how any of you did on the test and the spa ? You guys ain’t change your address or email , anything like that either right ? With the list numbers I’m guessing they graded it on how well you scored on test and thought u did on spa and contacted the need of people that come first come on the list they need. That’s just my guess.

    Yea. We can always move up. They push you to move up. U just have to take the promotion exams.

    If you are young and don’t have much responsibilities , bills , or not in a better position whatever case may be it may be easier choice but if you gotta take pay cut , already highly ranked where you work at , have to take care of stuff then it’s hard. I’m still deciding.

    Drug test is done when we go in for pre-employment which is what we about to go in for.

    If you on top of your game and know your stuff and learn then you can take that promotional maintainer test and pass after like 2-3 years of being helper. I don’t know 100% but I doubt anybody stays a helper for that whole time period of 6 yrs. At least I hope they wouldn’t. You really are in a win win situation I dont think you be making mistake leaving LIRR or staying. They mostly make a little bit more money than transit.

    If I’m you I’m definitely leaving to start here. More room for growth and better opportunities. And I’m pretty sure you’ll be making as much and more working here as time goes on. I wouldn’t even think about it.

    What are guys list number ? Mines is in the low 300’s. I dont know how much effect the list number will serve in terms of our specific start date or whatever. I just hope I get in that first class or don’t start to far behind.

    Guy said they were still hiring people from last exam so I guess they still clearing up that list then ya and they still aren’t in the best finicial state I think so I don’t think we will hear anything for a min tbh. It’s not like they gonna ignore us. Patience is a virtue. It has been a long time.

    Nah I don’t think it makes sense. U already took 8611. Your name is ahead of that. I mean unless u feel like u gotta a really low score and didn’t do good on spa but they will get to us. Trust me this time they are taking is driving me nuts too. They haven’t contacted back anybody yet.

    U took the promo test to become maintained correct ? Is there a rule to how long u gotta be helper to take promo test ?
