DCAS is now saying I am currently on an “outstanding certification.”

List is in today’s (12/18) Chief newspaper.

Just to be clear When I say “thrown out” it means everyone got credit for them. Of course if you had got them correct to begin with it doesn’t change your score any. I just noticed 4700 is no longer on here. I emailed them a month ago asking for the final answer key and they just sent it to me today. All 3 questions were from the first part (abilities section)

They threw out 2 questions from the first 7 and allowed 2 answer for one other question in the first part.

I got a call text and email from transit on Monday 11/16 letting me know the list was established, my list number, and notices by mail should be received in 10 days.

I heard people who failed got a letter that they failed, their score, and their ability to appeal it within 30 days by mail. Shouldn’t this have been done before the list is established? Anyone familiar with this process?

Call DCAS 212 669 1357 option 2 type in social security number and exam 8702. Right now it just tells you your list and score but once they start calling people they will let you know the last list number hired.

It’s like that because they exhausted the list even before it expired. For example 4600 had a list of 8221 people. The last person hired from that list was 8220. So there are no more Eligible candidates to call. the list is done and they moved on to the next one 7612. My guess is they exhausted that one as well and is currently on. 9604. I guess it’ still shows because it isnt expired. They aren’t calling from all 3. I know this because I know someone who took 4600 and I called and listened to the automated information from dcas on 4600.

They can’t have two list for the same position. It’s not possible. 4700 will be dead. Most likely it’s because 8702 hasn’t been certified yet so it just shows 4700 extended until they do. I’ve spoken with MTA exams multiple times and each time they assured me that they don’t plan on extending 4700. Anyone find out what happen to the notifications we should have received in the mail?

Yeah I agree. They will drag this out the whole 4 years . Figure it took them 6 years to go through 300, which is about 50 a year. To my understanding they hire at the end/ beginning of each quarter based on their needs. So, just for a ballpark figure lets say they hire 4 times a year with approximately maybe 12 TA people give or take, plus there will probably be some OA and MTA in each class.

I Guess it changed over night. Now when you call Dcas option 2 and type in your social and exam number it will give you your list number and test score.

When you call dcas and put in your social and exam number it says the list hasn’t been established yet but yet it’s on nyc open data and they’re showing it established on 10/14. Really weird. I don’t get it.

I called dcas and MTA exams today. dcas claims they have nothing to do with it call MTA. Mta said there is no information about 4700 being extended. They also said that 8702 should be established in the next couple months by the end of this year or begging of next year. I guess we shall see.

I’m praying that when 4700 expires On November 12th or at least soon after they establish the new 8702 list! I guess time will tell. Calling from both list would screw up seniority. Anyone hear anything from a reliable, concrete source as to why they canceled the new test?

I’ve spoken with Transits Exam unit Multiple times and each time they assured me that 8702 isn’t getting thrown out and they plan on hiring from it. They even told me they were going to send out that pass or fail notification 4 days before it went out. If they were going to throw it out why would they waste their time and resources telling everyone if they passed or failed.

People still making up those lies. It’s not getting thrown out.

Hopefully thats true. That 80 will go down once you take out the people that are disqualified due to attendance/ discipline, already promoted off 4700, and even those that turn it down. Its not a curve. The test is weighted. They grade the 1st part and multiply your score by its weight. They then do the same thing for the second part and add the two. That plus your seniority is your score. Once a list is established we can get the final answer key and that will probably show which questions were tossed.

You got till the 24th to decide if you want to take the next one. I think the whole reason transit sent out the notification on pass or fail is so you can decide because they knew a list wouldn’t be out before the filing for the new test.
