  1. Here is the link for anyone that would like to read it, it's a pdf. Check the section about staffing. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://web.mta.info/mta/news/books/docs/MTA-2019-Budget-2019-2022-Financial-Plan-Adoption.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjd5vaO8NnfAhXCmOAKHaLBBBMQFjAIegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw1ytsmKrVzdAFWz4bB1K3MJ&cshid=1546802829480
  2. Exactly, people went nuts when they found out about the hiring freeze. I read through the entire 17 billion dollar budget approval letter and it clear says there will be a freeze on "Non-essential" staff citing custodial positions etc.. Train operator, Bus operator and other positions directly interacting with the public are excluded from the freeze.
  3. Thanks, best of luck to you. Keep us posted whenever you get a chance on the " School Car Experience" thread if you'd like. I believe in everyone on this thread 💯, positive attitude turns into positive results.
  4. Definitely I'm used to this lifestyle, but how did it feel on your first day of school car? Exciting? Nervous wracking? ...so many questions, but I've been reading the " School Car Experience" thread and some people are making it sound scarier than I anticipate.
  5. Hopefully we can get together, and nope never had the issue. Try contacting the moderator "Seven eleven". Click on his picture at the top of the thread next to the "List Status Update".
  6. Hey everyone! I'm relatively new here, I've been reading this thread for months now from the shadows (not in a creepy way 😑) and I kinda feel like I know you guys without even meeting you. I'm number 15** and I'm so excited and blessed to even have a chance to become a TO. Took my first P/E on the 27th and was looking around to see if anyone from this thread was there (like I know how you guys look 😅) I wonder though if they will ever get to my number anytime next year... Congratulations to the new school car students, best of luck and I hope I'll be able to meet up with you guys someday. I'll keep my eye on this thread, shout out to all the OG's keeping us informed and all the future TO's.
  7. You and me both, March sounds realistic but February would be amazing. From my understanding it's about 70 people per class that are split up into groups of 10 working different tours. Our lives will revolve around work.
  8. Longest Pre-employment in my life....got there at 6:45 left at 7:00. I'm #15** on the list and I'm confident they'll be more days like this ahead. But it'd be worth it in the end. 😤
  9. Thank you so much for the glimmer of hope, it was just really frustrating just thinking about it. My friends in other departments of the MTA say the same but I'm just nervous that they'd send me home. Thanks again and I pray all goes well for everyone.
  10. Hey everyone, I received my p/e letter and I wanted to know how the medical goes. I have epilepsy but my condition is well under control with my medicine. I operate heavy machinery every day and State approved to operate motor vehicles. I know the T/A is very strict about this. Would it be a waste of time to even go for the P/E ?
