    Lmao how unfortunate. Conductors recieved everything at the overview and nothing before hand so im curious as to why we recieved anything before hand.

    The signals are fairly easy for me, the definitions on the other hand 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Anyone have any advice? Whats your methods ?

    Definitions i heard you can score 80% and signals needs to be 100%. If you aren’t studying the definitions everyday you probably aren’t passing. Remember this has to be verbatim.

    Highly doubt you will be dequal for a surgery. Long as your doctor will sign off on you, you will be fine. Its not a severly physical job as they explained. From what ive heard from multiple lirr employees in the same department. S&d is the hardest thing you will be tested on and marks if you are actually trying for the position. Thats the whole point of it being pre employment. They arent just taking anyone, you need to put the time in....

    If they plan on adding another 50 definitions and 10 signals i see 99% of us failing by 3/6

    Hr already sent us an email of signals and definitions it was about 30 definitions and 30 signals. I have the s&d overview on the 13th and the test is 3/6. If they plan on adding more than that by feb 13th i dont see many passing.

    40 Vocabulary words. Pick the best synonyms flow charts putting things in order scenarious logical thinking etc it is timed, dont rush. Follow directions of the instructors and be on time

    Yeah i got two attatchments. In her email it says she included something with hand signals and buzzers. I was clarifying with that because I didnt receive anything along those lines other than s&d I just thought it was amusing they were cheating on a test, i would think they would be disqualified from further employment. Yes you cant have current family in the transportation department due to nepotism ban.

    How about the guys kicked out for cheating? did you guys receive an attatchment for handsignals and buzzers? I just emailed her back saying i only recieved signals and def.

    I will be there aswell... from what ive been told from a few lirr employees that there is a preliminary aptitude test, if passed you will be interviewed that day and recieve a packet for signals and definitions and have 3 weeks to study 60 signals and definitions and you will be tested verbatim. can anyone confirm this?
