Any new locomotive engineer hires here? What's the process after the exam and how long does it take from the exam date to the first day of class? I just applied.

Good evening all. About the second phase of the lirr locomotive engineer training program, they say it's a minimum of 14 months. But I also heard that you go at your own pace. Is this true?

Enablers are also found on some of the older trains

I don't have a link but simply, they'll keep recertifying the list and as time goes on more vacancies will pop up as more people retire or get promoted
-
I It means expect a call soon probably within a couple of months
-
Outstanding certification means that they have certified your list number and you will be called within a few months

Sorry I didn't have time to answer, but it is best to study the definitions because you have to know the exact definitions.
-
They're supposed to send a study packet. That packet also contains what will be on the exam. That will be sent no later than July 6. The first email they sent contains the application and duties and responsibilities of a locomotive engineer which you should've gotten already.
-
Did you confirm your attendance via email? If so they'll send you a study packet
