A better solution would be to extend the Second Ave. subway west along 125th to the river.
Yes, maybe the goes to the river and the goes to the Bronx?

That sounds sorta unnecessary. A 125th stop on MNR would be a 3-block walk to the 1 at 125th.
True -- that's why I was thinking "Why would they build that?" But, they might build a tram to supplement the Bx15, M60SBS, M100, and M101 on 125 St, connecting to the and MNR.

Yea, i didn't understad - I thought specific buses were assigned to specific routes. Thanks @Snorunts

Are there any trams (such as the BQX) that actually might be built sometime in the (somewhat) near future? And, am I wrong that there was a proposal to link 116 St to the 125 St MNR station if West Side Access is built?

Just the M100 because its at Kingsbridge, a Bronx depot. Manhattan and Brooklyn depots don’t have any LFS units.
ok - KB depot is on Manhattan Island, but in the Bronx division, right? What buses out of KB have Nova LFS 40 footers?

Which Manhattan/Brooklyn bus routes run all or mostly Nova LFS 40 footers? I know the M100 does, but are there any others?

Where can you walk on the Rockaway Beach Branch? I think it is legal if you stay in Forest Park, but not sure. Could anyone tell me where the entrance to walk on the branch is and if I need any special maps/equipment?
Thanks!

Just took one of the special trains to 145th Street. The signage on the outside of the train says “Last Stop”, and the automated announcements have it as an to Myrtle-Wyckoff Aves. I guess there’s no program for an M to 145th Street. The look on people’s faces after 59th Street has been PRICELESS, so much confusion and very little signs explaining what’s happening. The only thing more rare than an on CPW would probably be the on the Grand Concourse or the to Far Rockaway.
how would the get on Grand Concourse?

Does anybody think that the will build a tram ever?

Of the GWB routes I noticed the 171 is usually your best bet for an older MCI followed by the 175 but both of those use NABIs too. The 186 to dumont is NABIs now, the 188 used to use MCI regularly but it’s been a while since i last tracked or seen an mci on that route.
The 175 has virtually no MCIs -- have seen/tracked none recently. As for the 171, I'm pretty sure it has MCIs b/c it runs on Rt.4 almost its whole route.

I saw 3676 (I think, might have been 3776) at Bombardier's Plattsburgh facility a few weeks ago -- not sure when it will arrive in NY.

If you can't do it, then don't worry bout the 90-92 Sts station name -- there might not be room. @Frankie12345
Thanks and sorry if I seem pushy.

Make a tram with a (14) bullet:
Riverside Park
96 St - Bway
96 St - CPW
96 St - 5 Av
96 St - Lex Av
96 St - 2 Av
Runs down York Av
91 St
86 St
79 St
72 St
66 St
62 St - 1 Av (NB only*) - build connection to
57 St - 1 Av (SB only*)
Runs along Queensboro Bridge
11 St/Qns Plaza
11 St/46 Av
Vernon-Jackson
*Trains have to get onto/off of the Queensboro Bridge, so the exit and entrance stops are at different places.

There is a new 10 car R179 heading southbound on the for a test run. Stopped at 145 and opened the doors on the wrong side at 2:15pm. Couldn’t get a pic since I went by it on a northbound but the last car was 3272 if that tells anyone what set(s) it is.
There are R179 sets in revenue service.
Also, do any other trains besides the have R179s?
