  1. Forgot to mention this earlier today. Back to back days of Fairview's ex-Wayne MCIs on the 175 and 171 respectfully. Saturday coach 9007 was on the 175. Told myself the reason for that is because of Market Street's bus broke down at either Bridge Plaza or at G.W.B. Well today, I saw coach 9016 on the 171. Again, another broke down trash of Market Street or could it be Fairview is moving some of their 9000s to Market Street. Now I know during the weekdays Wayne has help out Market Street Garage with trips on the local lines, such as route 74. I was on a couple of those trips with an MCI. Second, there could be some trippers that Wayne has on the 171 or 175 during the rush

Well I guess I won’t be holding my breath to see new buses in Wayne (freaking Oradell 😡😡😡)

Maybe the electric D45CRT or standard floor new look MCI cruiser electrics  are in line to replace the 7100s and 9000s in the future🤷🏾‍♂️. Remember Wayne is up after Camden and Newark  to have their facility retrofitted with some charging stations

Once again njt fails. The 551 has no need to be running market, broad. You screwed the 313/315 passengers with  that ride to sea isle and Avalon/Stone Harbor. They virtually killed the ridership on that line;  those people will not want to wait IN WRTC. 30th street was logical for the 313/15/17. 408/409 simply put back on market. This move was a money move and they found where to cut cost. The 316 will be really heavy this summer.

South Jersey riders cry and complain to the wrong people most take it out on the bus operator and when you tell them “well go to the meetings” they look dumb founded or “get petitions going” you get the same look.

Seems like NJT don't care about the south as much as they do up here on the north. Finding ways I guess to make riders unhappy and ruin ridership. Literally bringing those buses up north because let's be honest, it's easy money to them. It's no wonder that some political figures and groups want to break apart from NJ Transit and have the south it's own entity because of the poor structure and attention it's not getting

Wait, I thought the 84, 86 and 89 routes are out of Meadowlands? Did I miss something here? Are they trying to contract those routes out?

I know what you mean bro. Question marks were flying above my head when I read the article. I had to reread just to be sure of what it was saying . It sure  looks like routes 84, 86 and 89 from Meadowlands are gonna be swap for routes 10 & 119 currently run under contract by Coach USA. I'm like really?! I guess transit can swap their own routes for carriers to run🤔

NJT is set to award the contract back to Academy Bus next week.

So your telling me Coach spent all that time and money to train operators for 6 months just to give it back?

Laughable ain't it?! When I read the article on NJ.com earlier today I couldn't believe it smh.  They really let the owner of Academy got off. It's like NJT is laying in the same bed with Academy because they're in the wrong as well.

At least the drivers now have a shorter trip to Journal Sq, Hoboken Terminal, 91st & Bergenline Ave  and others from Hoboken depot than the Elizabeth garage when it comes to starting trips and dead heading back.

maybe its just me why is the 161 based at wayne when you can send it to Paterson market street garage which is right at it's end of terminal

random thought what are the other routes that end right near a logicial depot but are based at another deopt far away (example the 161)

    Route 190 is another.

Market Street doesn't have the room for 40 or so additional cruisers for those two lines alone. Plus those lines run 45 footers. Market St maintenance bay doesn't allow 45 foot buses on it, but that's changing now as the garage is being refurbish and possibly expanded... correct me if I'm wrong about the additional space.  Wayne's cruisers, which all are 45'  have been popping up on occasion there

I fully agree. That's one reason I didn't go to Fairview, the 159 is an extremely high ridership line, and if I was to stop and play cashier at every stop I'd never get anywhere on time.

If anything, MCI's should be restricted to the 156X and 159X only.

Someone up in headquarters thought it's a great idea to add MCIs to Fairview. Oh yeah, let's throw them on JFK Blvd, Bergenline Ave (worse to have them on), River Rd and Palisades.

I agree that them lines should be farebox and ticket readers. Rider flow in and out should be sped up just so the drivers can stay on schedule.  Agree that the express lines of the 156R and 159R should be MCI instead of the local lines. I guess they think that side of Hudson county & Bergen County deserves cruisers too. Blvd East is just a different animal

I had no idea the Nova vendor center was in Hoboken.

I always thought it was in an isolated area in the industrial part of Jeresy.

Considering that I don't see much fanner footage of the Nova vendor like I do of the New Flyer vendor in JFK Airport, I don't think many people knew this either.

Yes it's very surprising. They're at a lot near Hudson-Bergen Light rail 2nd Street station. I've posted a video on Facebook of the buses on a Bus & Train Enthusiast group if you care to see them✌🏾

  9. Maybe you guys already know about it, but today I've spotted over 20 new Nova Bus LFS 40' Hybrid-Electric buses at a lot in Hoboken. None have the designated bus depot decal sticker. Here are the numbers that's sitting in the lot.

    9791, 9795, 9696, 9705, 9828, 9882, 9881, 9794, 9682, 9816, 9725, 9681, 9716, 9857, 9708, 9856, 9703 amongst others

@B35 via Church I agree with the 748. It's a mess of a route that also travels through roads with no lights and tight clearance spaces. I still don't know who's bright idea it was to have bus stops along a highway. Imagine driving behind a bus at 45 mph and all of a sudden the bus brakes to enter a bus stop, that's an accident waiting to happen.

Regarding the 772, the reason for ending the 772G in Carlsdat is for the same reason the 703 does, no one is riding the route from Carlsdat to American Dream.

The 772 also shouldn't be going to Bergen Comm College, it's a waste of resources that can be applied elsewhere. Hell, it shouldn't even be going along Madison Avenue to New Milford, but since there's nowhere else to turn it, that's the only viable option.

And what's with every bus route in Hackensack going towards Cedar Lane making a big detour via Route 4 instead of just going across the Cedar Lane Bridge?

As far as certain bus routes and "out of service" buses going on Route 4 instead of just crossing Cedar Lane Bridge I believe has something to do with weight restrictions.

Oradell will eventually have 21191-21197, 21301-21302, and 21307-21367 of the 2021 order.

88 of the 2022 order will go to NJT, the remaining 30 to Academy to make up for 21301-21302, and 21307-21334 going to NJT. From what I've heard, 50 of the 88 NJT buses for 2022 are expected to go to Wayne garage.

Goodbye 9000s and possibly some 7100s
