Nice, I’m still waiting on my test results, they did say it can take from 1 to 2 weeks. Today makes a week so I’m just waiting it out . Congrats again , and if all goes well, I’ll be there soon. Can’t wait to hear how you like it once you start .

That’s the one I’m talking about , I did not receive a invite for either posting. it’s fine, if all goes well with Terminal Attendant, I will try to secure the job then I guess . Any updates about the Assistant Conductor position?

I have a question , let’s say someone like you wanted to transfer from Terminal Attendant - Ticket agent , would you still have to take the exam? Also, do you guys have to wait for a posting on the website that show their actively hiring or is there a in-house posting that only current employees have access to .

What was the exam for ticket seller like?

Fingers crossed I hear back from them, took the coach cleaner exam passed , did my background and never heard back after that

What positions are you on to background check and interview with?

They said it can take up to two weeks to get the results for the exam , and then if you pass you get sent the email to complete the background check , they didn’t really give any time stamps on anything else, hopefully my process goes as quickly as yours . Oh and no mention of the raise.

I honestly was already expecting for the public bathroom to be the worst of it , I mean it is a subway , good to know that it’s not as bad as I was told.

Reporting back from taking my exam. 1st and foremost the exam room was extremely packed, I was kinda taken back by how crowded it was . The info session before the exam was interesting I definitely have more questions. The exam was offensively easy I’m sure I passed , just a matter of waiting now. as for the questions , a HR manager was there and touched on working conditions. @Thinklikeamango I know essentially the position is a custodial position, but can give a little run down on what a busy day would be for you at work. I’m asking because he explained it can get extremely dirty, and while I have worked as a custodian before, it was a complete different setting.

Okay good, I don’t have the best history as far as jobs is concerned, so I was wondering how much past job history is considered. I’ve been with my current job 4 years so hopefully that makes it look a little better. thank you for your response . how is your process going?

Does Metro North care if you been terminated from jobs, does that lessen your chances for a interview . And do they actually contact every employer? im asking because a few of the jobs I had in the last 10 years I left on a bad note, my current job I’ve been with them for sometime now .

How long does someone have to wait to get like a Friday , Saturday, Or a Saturday Sunday , I know those types of day offs were for ppl with high seniority , doesn’t hurt to ask you guys get consecutive days off right ?

Top pay is 34? I don’t remember it being that much on the last job posting they had in April.. I honestly appreciate the weekly pay.

Ughh don’t say that, I’m sorta running from overnight jobs , I will be okay working a 3-11 or something . Are the overnight workers at least stationed at Grand Central?

Your process seems to be going rather quickly. How would your rate the exam difficultly 1-10? During the interview did they discuss work hours. Congrats on making it to the interview stage. I hope you get in, keep us posted if you do .
