The R160B were built by Siemese, also, Alright, this is stupid, ur just building the R179 but better, it will now be the new lemons now, the R68/A and the R62/A and the R46 and the twin R44 should not retire, they are the last 4 SMEE we will know dating back from 1985/84, and 1972/73, if they retire, SMEE fans will hate for them to retire, just give them anoher 50 years before they retire, the R62 are 29 and you want them to retire them, and dang those R68 are 27, just give them another 50 year so they will not have the same fate as the R32, also, BRING BACK THE f**kING DAMN R32s, THEY ARE THE LEADER OF THE MTA TRANSIT(They should be builted by kawasaki, or alstom, and i think we will give Bombardier Transportation a chance to build them, and this is not copy and paste)Alright, this is stupid, ur just building the R179 but better, it will now be the new lemons now, the R68/A and the R62/A and the R46 and the twin R44 should not retire, they are the last 4 SMEE we will know dating back from 1985/84, and 1972/73, if they retire, SMEE fans will hate for them to retire, just give them anoher 50 years before they retire, the R62 are 29 and you want them to retire them, and dang those R68 are 27, just give them another 50 year so they will not have the same fate as the R32, also, BRING BACK THE f**kING DAMN R32s, THEY ARE THE LEADER OF THE MTA TRANSIT(They should be builted by kawasaki, or alstom, and i think we will give Bombardier Transportation a chance to build them, and this is not copy and paste)

Lemme explain this whole thing here. All NYCT 44s, the remaining 44s and all 46s are all gonna be gone by 2028. MOF, all 75 footers are gonna be gone by 2040. Literally all NYCT 44s we’re gone by Spring 2013! The 62/A and 68/A are planning to get retired soon. You don’t know math either cuz the 44 SIR cars are 50, the 46s are 48, the 62s are almost (if not, a little bit older than) 40, the As are 39, 68s are 34, and those As are 32, and if you give all four of em another 50 years, *literally a SMEE derailment happening every hour in Manhattan in 2055* Oh, look, one derailed! Not surprising! The MTA would have a good amount of fleet shortages every time, increasing DAILY, and 0 f**kIN PEOPLE are gonna bring back dem 32s. Only for fan trips. Yeah, once every 6 months. You’re even lucky they preserved an 8-car set, plus 3828-29, Or else you would by out of luck. If 32s ever get rebuilt again, they would be made by ACF if they were still standin. So, if you don’t like the plan that the rest of these SMEES are going to retire soon (starting near my bday next year, could be earlier), that is on only one person… you. You gotta accept it. It ain’t a choice. You don’t see no ME-1s runnin on the SIR anymore, do you? No. Ya don’t. Life is life, and you gotta live it.

I don’t get that you’re not getting anything here bud. Have you ever heard the damn phrase ‘Nothing ever lasts forever’?

Nah, the C doesn't need open gangway trains. The C just needs to full length.

Open gang way trains need to run on the lines that have the highest ridership. It the MTA puts both pilot open gangway trains on the A, great, but if the MTA puts them on the E, even better.

Which is probably why the soft shell set transferred to Jamaica. The F would also work too since people mentioned that. I’d be  surprised if It ran on the R or M, but those two are good, E or F it is.

    I meant ride quality wise.

Hmm, I haven’t noticed that big of a difference, but maybe it’s cause I haven’t ridden them long enough.

Oh, srry bout that. I feel no difference either. They’re both almost the same because well…they ARE almost the same. I just don’t get what’s so different about the quality either.

Honestly that rule needs to be abolished. I've ridden a mixed R160 set and can not tell the difference then a regular straight A or B set.

I feel like this whole thing is because of the R142/R142A fiasco that happened way back when. Plus didn't a R143/R160 set make it out the yard and ran in service?

Fleet numbers…they’re there for a reason…and also some interiors might be different too

So if we got the third set running then we’ll most likely see the fourth set run in a couple of weeks???

Yeah, most likely. I’m pretty sure the MTA doesn’t want just one set in service for every month…I’m expecting it to get into service next week or the week after. Yes, Thursday as well.

This morning on the (L) train there was an assault and robbery during the AM rush hour at Bedford Av. The platform filled up with the conductor tending to the victim and her injuries. The train was almost taken out of service until a Good Samaritan crewmember was available miraculously on the (L) train and took over the train to continue the trip towards Manhattan. The train then proceeded to Manhattan and skipped Union Square + 6 Av

    DAMN! At least she's alright.

  8. So now we have these cars delivered:

    R211S: 100-104 (5 cars or 1 5-car train)

    R211T: 4040-4059 (1 hard shell & soft shell) (20 cars or 2 10-car trains)

    R211A: 4060-4099, 4110-4129 (60 cars or 6 10-car sets)

All that equals 85 total R211s delivered!

I would not trust Wikipedia's numbers very much. I believe more than 70 are built currently.

Yeah, Ik. They only have ‘70’ (75 now) As built cuz there’s literally no recent Kawasaki Nebraska factory tour video. Deliveries either.

    Recommended railfanning sites imo:

    • Smith-9th Street (F)(G)
    • Queensboro Plaza (7)(N)(W)
    • Aqueduct racetrack (A) (you’ll most likely see the brand new R211’s here)
    • West 8th Street New York Aquarium (F)(Q)
    • 125th Street (1)

I railfanned between Stillwell and West 8th in June. I got to see some Q trains pass by where I was at. 46s 68s and 68As.

The ads were working in the car behind it, I didn't check the other eight cars in the consist.

I don't know why they weren't working. The lights were working, just the ad screens were off.

Aye, that’s concerning. I mean, you don’t wanna be in a dark subway car, do you? And maybe they forgot to program the ads on the train car. I mean, nobody really pays attention to ads anyway, right?

Earlier today, all (L)(4)(5)(6)(N)(Q)(R)(W) trains had to bypass 14 St-Union Square and on lockdown due to an outbreak from twitch streamer, Kai Cenat doing a giveaway for free video games, and consoles. Although, there was no giveaway in the end and NYPD showed up and ended up making arrests including Cenat himself.

WHAT THE f**k! Why would anybody sell video games in the middle of the street? Just why? And I just hate the fact that they’re doin this on top of a damn taxi. Like, bro, why? Do it somewhere private, not in the middle of a Damn popular street. (I know I’m late)

4078 digital ads aren't working, all the screens in that car are blank.

I ran into the R211 three times now without going out my way to look for them. I also been on all three active sets.

Why weren’t they working? Maybe lights went out? And is it just that car out of the whole 407x series?
