  1. @DEE123 Also, if you google Nike ACG goadome boots. Do they accept these boots as well for training? That’s what I have.
  2. Copyyy. Appreciate you fam! 🙏🏾… and yeah I know having papers on the dash in general, is a DOT violation. So it makes sense that MTA will deem it as a write up. But again man, thank you 💪🏾
  3. @DEE123 oh wow. Sorry for the late reply. I start this Sunday on Dec 3rd. I am definitely taking this all into consideration. Of course, assuming I make it through each stage in the process. Thank you a lot for taking the time out to share. When it comes to having index cards or even the turn by turn instructions the depot provides. Are you allowed to reference this information while on duty on the route? (For ex. If you forget what you’re supposed to do ahead and you’re at a bus stop offloading and onboarding new passengers (of course, confirming beforehand each passenger is secured on the bus) … Can you look at the turn by turn instructions paper in those moments before pulling out the bus stop?) And yeah, Queens has definitely always been confusing for sure. I’m hoping things have gotten easier since our last messaging. Also, were you able to pick out of Queens? Since I hear it’s pick season.
  4. @DEE123 Sheeesh lol. That’s crazy. But I completely understand, they want no nonsense. When I went for my pre employment recently, it was a lot of people knowing darn well they were not prepared to be there that day. So I see why the MTA moves the way they move, unfortunately. But as for you man, how’s the on the job life going? Any pointers for learning and remembering the depot routes quickly?
  5. Ohhh wow okay, I see. Thanks man for the speedy response! And yeah, I’m with MaBSTOA. Thank you for the heads up and additional info. What is the start time at Zerega? (Ex. 6am / 7am / 8am)
  6. @DEE123 also! On the day of your medical and final processing (fingerprinting, etc).. do they tell you where you will go? Like what location you will report to for training? Or would that be on a separate day or from a email? And how long should I expect to be there for the day? …… day 1 I was there like 10hrs for no reason lol.
  7. Hey @DEE123 I had a quick question on this. I hope all is well with you brother. And appreciate all the info you’ve been sharing. So with you being able to transfer, right; does your seniority transfer with you? Or do you go back to the bottom?
  8. Ohhh okay copy @Harlem … thanks for the info 🙏🏾… and yeah I received my list number. I forgot… that’s safe to share, right? What is that number or info you don’t share because it’s personal to you?
  9. Yeah same, I got called in as well. I took the test on the sept 21st. Do you actually get interviewed? Or do they just want you to fill our paperwork and drug test?
  10. @lornaevo Hello, thank you for your response. And yes, I struggle with color blindness as well lol. I wanted to know if they would work with you. Years ago, I didn't know I was color blind at the time; but when I went to go take a school safety exam, I passed.. got called in. And did the physical... severely struggled with the color portion.. but they still approved me lol. I just decided not to move forward with that career.. so I'm trying to prepare myself for that portion. Since I believe that will be one of the biggest hurdles for me in the physical examination portion of trying to onboard with the MTA. Of course, assuming that I hopefully pass the exam tomorrow.
  11. @DEE123 Alright, thanks a lot for the responses and valuable info! If you don't mind, I have a few further questions. Is the test timed? If so, is it a reasonable allotted amount of time or would I have to really make sure I'm pacing myself through the questions?
  12. Hey @+Young+ sorry for the delay. Yeah I found it now. As far as boroughs... I'm not all that comfortable with all of them...but definitely not manhattan / staten island / queens for sure. Any reason for that question? And lastly, yes I do see the private messaging logo in the navigation bar.
  13. Yes @+Young+ thank you for that NYPD test prep kit. I seen it in this forum as I was looking through before I created an account here. And yes, as for the memorization section of the test.. I would not mind receiving some help on that.. whatever you can offer I'd greatly appreciate that. And, my apologies I will familiarize myself with the guidelines. My exam is #4111 for MaBSTOA. I'll be testing this week. And thanks for this forum! It's definitely a life saver lol.
  14. How do they test you on the ear and eye exam? Is the eye exam simply reading something pretty far away? Does it involve a color test... testing if you're color blind? And if one wears glasses, are they allowed to do the eye exam with glasses on or without? Hopefully, I'm allowed to ask these questions. I am new to the forum.. pardon me if I break any rules unknowingly.
