The order ended at 6550. CUSA bought their remaining Novas. Here's a question; where are the final CRAPIs at? The list ends at 6614 and there hasn't been any word or sightings about that
8286 to Ironbound.

Sorry for the double post but,
7541 is at Fairview on the 158 currently.

7511 might still be at Howell. It's on the 132 right now.
Since they have the 7300s in service, I'm seeing less and less D4000s running on 9.

7788 is at Howell.

That's 67 CNGs built already. MCI is on the ball here. I think the riders are impressed with them too. My mother had 7295 and it felt like she was on the train.Up to 7345 built and ready to head to the East Coast.

ny Nj interstate Mobile ticket
next step intrastate
Apparently you can only buy monthly passes with the app. I hope they make it so you can buy tickets with it soon.
How bout they start worrying about the safety of the us operators carrying around money like we are "garda" or something.
I agree. If anything, I think it's time for partitions on the MCIs.

7485 is doing a run on the 64.

They probably made it here before the storm started. They may not be at Howell, but they should be on NJT property now. Then again your theory may have also occurred.Notice: 7332 and 7333 was scene Sunday morning by yours truly in Columbus, OH en route to NJ. Should of made it by the time the storm started unless they rested in Pittsburgh or some other location and waited at the hotel to see what was the situation with Juno.

Academy's maintenance must not be much better. 8584 was whining like a baby when I rode it. If their buses are in that bad of shape why are they even on 9 if their prone to breakdowns?Howells maintaince isn't exactly top of the line. They send buses to us or washington twp and meadowlands for issues they cant get fixed.
There getting better, there was a time it was worse.

7539 is back at Fairview.

My condolences to the driver as well. That's actually the 3rd floor. My sympathies to the operator and those who were injured.
Why did that guy tag NJT? That didn't appear to be one of their's.

MyBus shows it just got done with the 166 in PABT so they're probably doing a trip.
EDIT: Disregard that, I was thinking of 7616. It IS on the 139 along with a bunch of CNGs.

Are they gonna bring the CNGs out tomorrow?

Heard about that last night when I got home from Jersey. That hasn't been the only bus with that issue either.
From what I was told a few nights ago, 7102, 7105, 7111, 7113, 7478, 7466, 7467 (which ironically broke down on Thursday), 7279, 7281, 7283, 7214 and 7993 all had those issues out of Howell, some of which had them bringing cold air into the bus. What blew my mind was that the new buses are having those issues. I'm not sure what it is, but they haven't been on the ball lately.
If they're screwing up in the cold, who knows what'll happen during the summer months.
7279's issues must not have been that major seeing as how they bought it back out Friday. The same can be said for 7214, but I don't know how it did the rest of the night, because I got 7293 before 7214 showed up.

Nice shots! I just figured out what I'm doing tonight.....
7286 on the 68.

Ironbound has 7781-7782; Howell still has 8286.

I don't know how much they really want those buses. The only reason Howell is running them as much as they are now is because they have no choice. They are going to be spares once the whole MCI order comes in. At the end of the day the EcoCoach is not a dependable piece of equipment......
Which is why I'm praying they don't order them again.
If those things end up being problematic/in the shop a lot and/or take a while to get delivered, that's gonna be bad because the whole fleet could end up being in a shortage.
Exactly it's the specs, that's why MCI couldn't bid on it! Then finally they worked on making a 45 foot CNG that would meet NJT's specs so they could win the next order which they got because DesignLine was bankrupt. NJT will find some BS to spec on the next order so EPV gets it, they want the EcoCoach and they're gonna get it.
I hope these new CNGs we get are gonna influence NJT to go with MCI when it comes time to replace the D4000/D4500s. EPV is new to the bus industry (well, not really, they kinda just picked up where DL left off) and this is a time where NJT can't afford to be their guinea pig.

I sure as hell hope MCI starts bidding lower because I know damn well if the Howell folks hated those ECOCoaches, the North Jersey residents (160s) aren't going to be too ecstatic about them.
Infrequent rail service? Have you seen the M&E & NJCL during peak periods? Trains come within 10 minutes of each other. Don't even get me started with the NEC.a combination of high demand from outlying areas of the said bus routes. The variants help reduce overcrowding on many lines & the inability of the rail network to meet peak demand & infrequent rail service in comparison to the buses that are back to back.

I feel like NJT isn't gonna order from EPV only because the ECOCoach gave them so many problems already. The drivers and passengers hated them equally. But like Orion said, NJT basically built this bus.
I'm praying they stay with MCI because I can't get used to seeing ECOCoaches in places I'd see an MCI. I'd rather have a bunch of CNG D4500CT-clones.

Why do NJT routes have, like, a gazillion variations? The MTA isn't that complicated.
If you're talking about the Route 9 buses (130,132,136,139), it's a combination of spoiled riders who wanted an express route to do the same thing the damn 139 does & people who don't read the signs at PABT.

It's confirmed, the CTs will not have logos on the front unfortunately. Hopefully they'll put ads on them soon.
Saw 7285 on Route 34 not too long ago.

If you want to ride one your best bet is to wait until PM rush. They tend to run them Southbound around that time, but they're unpredictable so watch MyBusNow.Saw a few of them out earlier. Gonna try and get one for the ride back tomorrow morning.
