Are you serious with that? Kids can go to a zoned school which may require them to simply walk to school rather than taking the bus. That's a poor excuse. Your thinking leads kids to think that their fare should ALWAYS be free, even when they're not traveling for school purposes. If they're going to play basketball on the weekends, they'll get on the bus and think that they don't have to pay because they're students, so they never have to pay. Sorry, but that doesn't fly. When my MetroCard expired for the day, and I was hanging out at a friend's house, I had money to pay. Simple as that.

Well these kids aren't you. They don't have money, not all of them can get jobs (child labor laws, teen job market), and their parents may not have extra money they can just give them. Walk to school? Yeah let them walk to school in gang territory, where they could get caught in the middle of gang shootout, see how their parents feel about that.

 

You know this reminds me of a little experience I had yesterday on the M15 SBS yesterday. These three 5th graders got on the bus making all kinds of raucous. Mind you this was LES, not Harlem. They were harassing passengers, speaking in a derogatory manner (they were talking about porno) and overall disturbing most peoples' commute. I even almost watched them knock an old lady over. The little sh*ts also were messing with TA property by holding the doors every time the driver tried to close them. I'm surprised he didn't get up and yell at them. And you think the lower income kids are the only ones undeserving of Student Metrocards.

You sure? I just checked MyBus and almost every single 8200 from Howell is out on their lines.

Why aren't there any artics on the M100? It's become so crowded that two buses have to follow each other to pick up the loads. 

Really dig the new seats on the newer CNGs.

Me too. I wonder what made them change it up? Was it MCI's new design? Whatever it is, I hope they opted to put those on this upcoming mass order.

7471 is at Ironbound.

Looks like Ironbound is starting to get their 45's. while i was at the port this evening 7455 was on the 112 and 7456 & 7459 were on the 113.

Add 7461 to that list. It's currently on the 116.

 

Looks like we'll be seeing CNGs on the weekends down here in Howell-land.

The newest CNGs have remodeled seats. Instead of the rectangular shape they normally have, it's a hexagon-type shape. I didn't get a pic of it but I'll try to next time I get on one.

Just spotted 7271 on the turnpike heading South.

Howell helps out. None of oradell drivers are 45ft qualified unless xfers came from garages that have 45.

 

I can see it was a howell driver doing the 128 and was called to run the 166 local.

 

7422 was sent to cmf.

I guess Meadowlands has no problem bringing their 45s out either. 9039 is currently on the 166.

I think boycotting service is a bit unnecessary.

These "transit advocates" need to chill out.

The Designlines are coming back, don't remove them from the roster. I'll compile a list of D4000s that got moved.

 

Also, 8951 and 8952 are at Academy Toms River.

Oh lord. EPV better have repaired them things to the point where nothing can go wrong with them....

 

I think 8951-52 have been there for quite some time now. I've seen them out on Route 9 and the Parkway Expresses.

Just a few things....

 

Howell no longer has anymore D4000s we sent them back to Ironbound, Fairview, and Washington Twp, all of the older CNGs were retired, we sent all of our 9000s up North (not sure which bus went where), the DesignLines aren't at Howell anymore and more than likely won't return, we have the new CNGs up to 7255(?), and 8559 is a D4000 that went back to Ironbound.

A little late, but the newest bus I've seen is 7248. We may have more, but I haven't seen any higher than that yet.

2015 D4500CTH 4009 now assigned at Egg Harbor. 6235 is back at Egg Harbor and 8273 is now assigned to Egg Harbor.

Is it a clone of the new CNGs? Or does it have any noticeable differences?

 

Are Egg Harbor's D4000s still gonna be sent to Howell? We sent all our 9000s up North already, we only have the MTA rejects and 2002-03 MCIs which I thought were gonna sent down to Egg Harbor. 

Do you have a location of that bus?

This morning it was heading to Newark, I caught it on MyBusNow after it just left Union Hill. I thought my eyes were playing with me and I was seeing 7303, but I checked twice. It was 5303 all right.

5303 is on the 67. Yes a NABI is on the 67 right now. Something isn't right here....

7241 and 7242 are at Howell.

AFAIK Howell has up to 7238 in service.

 

For some reason we got 8273 back...

Saw the charred remnants of an MCI (non CNG) bus at the Meadowlands graveyard

Yeah that's 8227. It got fried while doing a 139 a few months back.

Just spotted 7233 on the 139.

Saw 7229 this morning.

Howell's beginning to push the 9000s out. 9043 is on the 124, 9031 was on the 324 a few days ago.

Has anyone seen anything past 7221 in service? I have a feeling Howell has up to at least 7236 or 7240.
