No its not intimation only if sensitive folks like you think it is. If you been paying attention here you would know that this can be a great job i have said it lots of times. Good Point Snowblock since they are from the OC List they have no other title to fall back on but the door... Meaning Out the door... Seen a guy crying at WDL when we 1st started(he knew he was gone). He overran a station and got "gun shy" and was coming into stations after taking a full service break and going two points of power to the ten car marker. Always late im talking 10 15 minutes late on the 4 Line?? So a TSS rode him to Utica once he did the same thing the TSS ordered him to get out of the seat took over operations back to WDL. He was "asked" to resign the next day... REAL Talk folks real talk....

Passing the medical is only the 1st step.. Now it gets harder.. Anybody thinking otherwise is crazy, esp if you never operated a train before throw the " Oh i drove a car" out the window... So that 40 starting can be 10 finishing i doubt they are going to be holding anybody's hands... Seen it myself.. Um yeah.. THIW...

I was told until after i was off probation i wasn't an "official member" of the union... Hence meaning you can get chit canned and the Union cant do much about it... Dont know how it works now.

I think it will have more weight if the person was going for Bus Operator, but i think thats just them being them as well!

Look at it this way if you are put on Medical Hold during your screening they are going to want to know why that means your doctor has to give them a reason why they shouldn't. Now that being said if you got pressure problems Sugar problems or heart problems you think your doctor is going to Lie to them and say you dont? When his /her tests may show the same thing?

From what i heard they didnt ask him for his Old EKG's.. Opps... The moral of my post was basically Good Luck taking the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to Court and Winning when it comes to how they hire folks (unless its kinda blatant in their wrong doing). SAFETY SENSITIVE TITLE... Perhaps you missed that... Heres a story a few years back during a pre employment medical from what i heard, they wanted to give a person (who was over 55) a EKG He refused and they put him on medical hold. He took the TA to court(age discrimination) and the court said that the TA COULD give him a EKG due to his age and applying for a safety sensitive title...

I dont remember filling that out thats why.. Heck its been nearly 12 years i might have...

Good Man btw if you can start getting friendly with people on line with you good chance they will become your classmates. You will need each other during Schoolcar.

You might not "choose" you may have to go where you are sent.... Since the Classes will be small where you may want to go is moot. Put it this way if you live in Brooklyn or Queens Staten Island, Southern Jersey or Long Island the B Div works(Lettered Lines).. If you live in Manhattan or the Bronx or upstate New York Or Northern New Jersey the A Div works(Numbered Lines). The 7 Line is the Only Line in the A Div that is in Queens though so thats the exception.

No i suggest you come without wearing that or they will look at you real quick and its "medical hold".. Oh P.S NO Drinking before!!! They test you for alcohol and drugs.. Good luck cant say welcome yet till you are in Schoolcar though...
