Well now Donald finally works down here so he has accurate info. You will be surprised at the number of old timers who get lots of info wrong. Most of them think that if 2 people get the same score on an exam the TA calls the person who filed first. Contrary to popular belif, this is wrong.

 

Even a broken clock is right twice a day...

They will start hiring from the open competitive list soon, end of August or early September.

 

Im thinking the fall the last classes of the promos just started...

So Now you heard it folks!

Early this morning a little after midnight while waiting for Whiteplains Rd bound 2 train I was lucky to see a "not in service" R142 pass with a class of train operators (promotionals). Thier were about 6 of them crammed in the operators cab up front along with a few more sitting in the last car and 2 more in the rear operator cab. It was funny because I had a feeling that train was a school car because he entered the station very, very, very, very slow. Inched toward the 10 car marker stopped then proceeded out.

 

Man I cannot wait until the reach the O/C list......

Does anyone know what number you can call to find out what number you're on the list for train operator. I got a notice that's said I scored 83.5 but I misplaced the notice. I spoke with someone who works inside and said that they had a couple of classes in already back in November of 2011. I wasn't sure from what list. Information would be great.

 

Are you a promo or open competitive? If you are O/C with that score um yer outta luck bro sorry, good chance you wont be called...

It should happen Memorial day weekend 18 R-46 600' consists move to the Charlie R32's to the Apple maybe just maybe a R42 as well??

DOes anyone have any word on the R32 SMS? It may prevent summer swaps in the future. I dont expect this year to be as big of a swap as last.

 

SMS should stand for SMH if you ask a T/O who works the C line on the weekends....

Well they are about halfway through the list(about 800 eligible for promotionals).... So maybe the end of the year I can see the o/c list starting to get looked at... But things can change....

Yep they are a lot of C/R's going up front....

So every1 on 8098 O/C Test would be ok IF THIS GOES thru?? I hope so im so rde to make a move :confused:

Sorry to hear about your issues man its tough.I dont know why they are playing this game but it gets no better down here as well.. They still play these types of games with people...

Now with the MTA taking care of the testing process and not DCAS they can play even more games...

I said it before people arent turning this down and people arent Flunking out of Schoolcar.

A year or two wait sounds about right, now of course lets see what the next contract brings,which will be most likey nothing lol....

Oh yes definately but you got a wait a year maybe two tops...

They will go through these promos frist, they learned their lesson with us O/C people....

Funny when i took the 1st open competitive test back in 2000 i dont recall getting a letter like that After.

I do recall going back to take some kind of test in Brooklyn though, didnt get any results in the mail from that one.

Then that Sept of 01 i got the letter in the mail saying "come on Down we want you to be a Train Operator"..

It's the same test. Let's end this and not turn this into argument # 2,518. You hear sounds and you indicate when and which ear you heard it in. END OF DISCUSSION.
