  1. I suppose that's how it ran but either way it had only one way to get out Canarsie to Atlantic via (J) to Myrtle reverse etc..then going Manhattan bound it probably went via Chambers via (M2) how the (J) gets to Prospect Park or the Chrystie Cut.Its very interesting but either way I wanna se a 46 out there LOL.(In trainz) and btw I'll work something out with the Slants b\c I have em.

  2. How would I be able to do that (L) fan trip if 75 footers aren't allowed on the Canarsie line past Broadway Junction? I will do an Eastern Division fantrip on the (L)(J)(M)(Z) with R160s

P.S. Will upload MUS pack in a few hours. It won't include my custom signals or re-skinned AJS subsurface walls/columns because I need to get permission from the respective owners of the original assets to distribute them.

    Read this:http://www.erictb.info/carhistoryembed.html

"(One exception was a Bicentennial fantrip using the 46's to Canarsie and Metropolitan. The stretch was pretty much straight, but traffic going in the other direction had to be stopped on the curved approaches to the bridge, and at the tight grade crossing leading to the Myrtle line".-Quote from site but its Trainz it can happen.

I rather you use an R-32/Slant fan trip than a 160 or R143. Thanks and its ok I'll send u something in return.

  3. Question:

What programs would I need to create my own subway cars and stuff?

For Subway Cars: Gmax,3DsMax,Autodesk Inventor or some other 3D modeling program. What Strain is using is sketchup which works as well.

As for stuff I supposed non-rolling stock items I recommend u reskin stuff on the DLS if not use one of those programs.

@Green Eggs mind sending me the complete MUS pack please(platforms, walls, tunnel, track etc...)thanks if so Subway7695@yahoo.com if not its ok.

  4. Nice but its not really impossible for a 75 footer to be in the Eastern Division except beyond Broadway Junction (J),(Z) and btwn 8Av and Broadway Junction (L).

I would like to see a Trainz Fan Trip of an R-46 or R-44 from Canarsie to Metropolitan Av like the real R-46 fan trip back on July 4, 1976.

  5. Good luck and thinking about this Trainz Classics,09 and 2010 has the same Metro North Content and it's top notch stuff 3rd party reskinners skinned the Shoreliners into NH(red) colors and the Locomotives and rolling stock is decent very realistic.I hope this works well for you.

And btw this is the NYCTA thread lol.I guess u can post ur progress in that other thread made if ya want.

  6. I have 2004 trainz and have the nycta download with a bunch of rolling stock. I am debating on getting 2006 is there a nycta layout ?

I don't see why to get 2006.I recommend Trainz 2009 or 2010.Better graphics more content.Better yet Trainz 2009 has 04,06 and Trainz Classics in it routes, trains and stuff. If you get 06 it will not have Metro North stuff in it.Trainz 2010 has nearly 20 routes like TS09 and once again they're updated old original routes from 04.06 and Classics.

  7. Because one doesn't cover the length of the platform.

It does just the people don't.You have to adjust the length of the platform to the length of the train. So the M7 is 85 feet and you have an 6 car consist the platform should be 85x6=510 feet then convert it to meters which equals 155.4 meters. So set the platform length and then edit the invisible station to 175 meters so all the doors will open.

FYI: I had to experiment this with the R46's I know are '75x8=600 feet.I converted and got like 183m I believe and the doors in the last car wouldnt open so I changed the invisible length to 200m and it opens.

  8. But it sucks so much that Magicland's trains don't work in TS2010 and the ones by Jeffmorris look like crap and don't work with passengers, so I'm stuck using Metro North trains until I can find something better. (AND THE FREAKIN DLS HAS BEEN DOWN FOR OVER A MONTH)

1.They do work in Trainz 2010 you have to download something and it will convert the mesh and fix some points.

2.LOL thats wrong well they do look like crap compared to Magiclands stuff but its better than nothing;)

3.Metro North you got the trains, stations and stuff why not build a fictional MN route? You got locomotives including Amtrak an M8,Shoreliners,NH stuff.

4.The DLS is not down you have to manually download stuff via FTP.
