  1. Agreed! Alstom propulsions suck. I hate that errrr-ahhh-errrrrr-EEEEEEE-errrrr-eeeeee sound especialy because the errrrrr-eeeeeee sound repeats and repeats. When it stops its errrrrr-eeeeee-errrrrrr-eeeeeee-errrrrrr-ah-ooooo

The bombardier propulsion on the R142A makes a good sound like er-ahhhhhhhhhhhh-mmmmmm-MMMMMMMM-MMMMMMMMMM and when it stops its like eeeerrrrrrr-eeeeerrrrrrrr-ahhhhhhhhhhh-eh.

The siemens souns good too. Its like errrrrrr-ahhhhhh-ooooooooooh and when it stops its like ahhhhhh-ooooooooh-eeeerrrrrrr.

Siemens and bombardier propulsions for life!!

Its a bootleg R-142 propulsion but with extra more annoying notes. At least the Bombs loud ass HVAC's are cover ups.:P

  2. (E)xactly so it would be a waste.Has anyone been on an R142/A with a broken or malfunctioning/ed Strip Map? I haven't my 10yrs or so riding them either they were

    1.Working or

2.Off(Electric Strip maps are not in service please listen to announcements and watch the display).

  3. Whats the point of the FINDS anyways where else can the (7) be re-routed except via the (N) N/B.I rather have them trains have stripmaps b\c at least they won't be frozen they'll be off with words illuminated that's its not in use or they'll be on displaying the correct stops. But then again I don't ride the (7) so I shouldn't care much.

If they were put on the (2)(4)(5)(6) fleet it would make sense.

  4. The 68's are slowly moving the (G) at this point, so there's no need to bump them again in the next couple of years.

And of course they're not entirely replacing the 32 fleet. The R32's are still in a really good shape and they also have to keep some 32's in spare, 'cause you never know when you need a spare.

The (G) won't need many anyway b\c they're based from Coney. They can stay on the (G) but I was saying they're ordering more cars than the 32's and 42's combined IF they go with the option order.

I was just making a point but the

Main Order 290 cars for Concourse (D)

Option Order for 50 cars is it not obvious it's for the 42 replacement ENY.

    Option Order 2 80 cars (D)

bump 68's to to 207th (C) service possibly (A) since they'll be the next to retire since the 46's are going to SI.Sure they'll be some left in the subway.(Thats my take on what they should do).

  5. Your guess is as good as mine.

Well, you have a possible total of 420 new cars. 290 base, 50 option 1, and 80 option 2. If all orders are exercised, you have between 85-105 new train sets in all. It all depends on how the cars are arranged within each set.

It is a very real possibility that part of this order could go to SAS. There are more than enough cars to replace the R32's and whatever else they will replace.

True I didn't realize that I forgot there is/are 230 or 240 32's left more then enough to replace them + the 50 cars Opt 1 which is kind of obvious it will be to replace the 50 42's and 80 cars for a possible option 2? Sounds like they're going to replace some 46's.

Idk but I think it'd be better to send the 290+ the option 2 to Concourse bumping the 68's to the (A)(C) b\c they're not ordering exactly to replace the amount of the 32's and 42's unless the (C) becomes 10 car 60 footers.Something is fishy about that though.:)

  6. Creative? What pieces have you seen? I have a few friends that has done pieces much more sicker than that. Being that you live in the Bronx I'm sure you've seen better. You should see some of the pieces around here. I gotta take a few pics and show you guys sometime.

Many but I can't draw for shit so anything that may seem shitty too you guys looks good to me b\c I know damn sure well I can't do creative art.I wish I knew how to bubble letter thats a cool form of art.But I've only seen one tagged train in person it was last year layed up I think at Union Tpke but it wasn't colored in it was like idk lol.

  7. They will just function as trackside signs since they are renameable. Because of that you will have to put invisible speed signs. Also the car markers with "car" underneath them are only used for reverse car movements on tracks used for layups. Those will be included as well. Normal car stop signs only have numbers

Ok then thats fine with me I careless about the car markers now. Can't wait!

  8. Ok thats cool I've been using other car markers but they don't have "car" its just a number. Will the speed sign actually work as a speed limit or it'll just be a sign and we'll have to put invisible speed signs near it b\c JeffMorris's speed signs the trains hit them.

  9. Ever since this thread has been stickied I haven't been catching up with all this amazing work b\c Sticky threads apparently don't show latest posts until you actually get in the Simulators section.I'm loving the stations and the progress.I have been working on a project secretely which is now not a secret anymore and I'm not sure if I asked or anyone else asked but will you developers make elevated speed signs? And hows the timer with the 1 and 2 shot GT going?

  10. the R62a r almost 30 years old they are very out dated, they didn't want too hold on too them because they want fully automated cars like the R142 143 160 They may get rid of them if they have the money for it in 2020

So! Just b\c they're using old school technology doesn't mean they aren't good. The 62/A's are probably performing better than the 46's which using updated technology.Almost 30 sheesh don't they look good and run good for their age? If nothing serious happens with those cars in the next 10yrs or so I can see them lasting till they're about 40-45.Samething goes with the Hippos.
