  1. Everyone stay tuned for 3803-3806, 3813, 3814, & 3816. They are on their way!!! Two of these buses should be delivered to Zerega today and/or tomorrow. Production is set to ramp up within the next 30 days at a rate of 6 buses per day coming off the assembly line. I'm also thinking 3800, and 3801 will be here in mid/late September. Looks like 3800-3839 will be at CAS, and 3840-3879 will be at YUK, but don't quote me on those assignments! Ya'll know how is....
  2. The TMC re-powers, and the early Orion V's
  3. Yeah, i'm not sure when they will be converted to the new batteries, but i bet it's somewhere around 3820. I'll let you guys know as soon as i find out the number.
  4. That sounds about right. IIRC, 3802-3818 or 3801-3817 should all be here within a week.
  5. I just can't wait to ride one!!. 3802 Is almost ready to hit the streets!!
  6. It has now been confirmed. 3802 is in SI and pics will be posed shortly by Pablo.
  7. Ok so there may be some truth to 3802 being at CAS. The buses have finally passed the audit inspection and are being delivered as of right now. The first 17 buses will be here over the next 2 weeks. Several of them have already begun their trip from upstate NY. They will head over to Jersey before being deliverd to Zerega. Some of which are already there. So the big Question..... Is 3802 here???? I don't know about the number for sure, but it is definitely an NG. And as I stated earlier, this first lot will have the old battery packs on the roof. Happy Hunting!!!
  8. That's because it's The Staten Island Railway.
  9. Whats so wierd?? Its the same as any other IND/BMT line.
  10. Lol... just 1 set! :eek:Those 44's are nice!!!!
  11. I like the SIR. I caught it for the first time this summer! They need to put a set of R160's on the line!!
  12. So progress on the NG's seems to be coming along at a better pace. But get this! The fisrt batch to be delivered will have the old hybrid system! What's up with that??? Aparently the upgraded system with A123 lithium ion batteries won't make it into our NG's untill 2009! Stay tuned for an "old" NG!
  13. I called him yesterday, but got no answer.
  14. Last I heard they were trying to incorporate the changes in to demo, so they can ramp up production and start delivering the buses. I haven't talked to my guy at Orion in a while.
  15. I agree. They need to order one last batch of Orion V's, but that will never happen. Cummins and John Deere are the only options now anyway.
  16. Yeah, just about everyone else in North America has 40, but MTA doesn't.
  17. In a way, but none of MTA's O7's do.
  18. Oh okay. I'm not sure if they are to MTA specs or not. I don't think the seats are, unless the TA is making some changes.
  19. Our O7 NG's will be unique. They have options never before seen on a line haul transit bus, unlike any other NG operator. These buses will basicly be custom made for MTA.
