  1. Yeah, regardless of what division it is the track ballast is still 4 meters wide, on average.
  2. I usually make the entire station, not just the platform. I've noticed that people always ask me where I got the station from, so i'ma just make it one object.

  3. A great way to start off the weekend: The tunnels are next.
  4. Any more eye candy and you'll be blind. Track in Sketchup: Track in 3DS Max: Track in either BVE: Or in Trainz:
  5. How much darker can the signal get? In real life, that's exactly how they're colored. And no, the ladder wasn't working for him either, but I heard that he has solved the problem.
  6. No, the triggers are in their own menu. I think it's high time people started learning the physics of Trainz instead of just dragging track across the map and driving trains. A route can only be as realistic as the developer wants it to be.
  7. This is basically a conjoined project between ExpressLine3Train over on the Auran forums, Green Eggs 'n Pelham, and myself. Basically we're doing all of the following: -EL Stations(Me. I have a theory, but until that theory checks out these will be splines) -Subway Tunnels and Stations(ExpressLine3Train) -Signals(Green Eggs 'n Pelham) -Elevated Trackage(ExpressLine3Train)
  8. Timers don't detect trains, unfortunately. Timers rely on the amount of wheel revolutions between the previous signal and the one ahead. A wheel revolution plus the indicated speed would make the timer ahead change at interval. That signal looks completely amazing! I'm looking forward to the many more signals you have to make!
  9. Epic eye candy. I reskinned Jaleel's R143 model for testing purposes. Finally got the custom trucks in-game and working.
  10. Track splines are generally 4 meters wide(8 in all, between platforms), so you may have just made a station for a Narrow Gauge subway.
  11. I thanked you only because I misguided my mouse cursor and meant to thank Green Eggs n' Pelham. Jeffmorris stated that he had arthritis. I wouldn't have been able to make a subway station that good if my hands couldn't perform they way they do, so cut him some slack. You can't get quality and performance in the same package.
  12. I will try to rework my elevated/subway stations/tunnels so that when it is released, you will have the utmost driving experience. I'm working on another spline segment as we speak and I got invisible tracks and attachment points down, and I will be taking requests for things you would like to see in the stations.
  13. You're not actually putting the tunnels through water, you know. If you are, then the tunnels do not go through water, they go through the bedrock beneath the riverbed(in Trainz terms, this means under the map).
  14. Actually I just finished your station and it should be emailed in a little while. Clone it and delete the original so that I can move on with my KUID numbers without having to overwrite anything. Another segment: I'm definitely going all out with spline creation now.
  15. I will be handling PATH, route-wise. Trains, I don't know. Alright, I had no intention of ever doing subway stations, but this just happened. Consider it eye candy for now.
  16. The pack is part of the cluster of pics I posted a few pages back. This is just a personal project for Strain. I am currently testing the subway tunnels available over at MetroRUS, and it looks like I can make a few subway routes out of them with the help of Magicland's stations and any custom content, if necessary. I am also thinking about tackling the PATH as well.
  17. Two, actually. I put these in Trainz, but for some strange reason the entire station is transparent. I'll get that bug worked out in no time, so sit tight.
  18. *cough*. This is not, and will never be in progress, by the way. In other news, @Strain: I fixed up your station in my spare time. I'm adding textures from both BVE and my arsenal, so expect an in-game Trainz picture this weekend.
  19. The height of a platform would be 1.1 meters, or 3' 7.3". And I believe Jeffmorris made some city buses. Look under his name on the DLS. I don't mind getting more stations into Trainz. The more, the merrier. I've been upgrading my computer the last few days and through all the software glitches I haven't had a chance to look at your station, but this evening I will make some progress.
  20. To get it into Trainz you would have to re-texture it in Gmax, because regardless of exporting, the textures will not show up in anything other than Autodesk 3DS Max, the general supporter of .3DS files. After that, export it to a folder in .IM format, and once in Trainz, you have to use Content Creator Plus to create a config file. I write my config files by hand and is not explainable. When I looked at the length of your station, it looked to be somewhere around 44 meters long, if you round it. NYC Subway stations are about 200 meters long for BMT/IND stations, and about 175 meters long for IRT stations. This station would therefore be very small when exporting to Trainz, so you'd probably have to scale it to about 5 times its current size.
  21. Yes you may. Also, since this is a full-length station I cannot make this a spline. It's best that you do not texture the station in Sketchup, since these textures will not appear on the object in Gmax. It will be twice as easy to re-texture it in Gmax and scale it the right size.
  22. I'm going to release it with the elevated station pack, once the entire thing is finished.
  23. Not yet. I'm trying to make as many canopy designs as possible, along with some more custom station houses, including ones at stations all around New York. So Far, this is only Stage 1, and I have lots more to go, depending on the designs. @Strain: I did not find the turnstiles. I made them myself. The entire station house, including emergency exit, vending machines, and turnstiles is all one object which will have attachment points and bumpers so that you can place platforms and tracks.
