Hello everyoneeee, just had a question. Did they change the months for schoolcar?? Last I knew A Div was 3 Mos and B Div 6 Mos, but I swear I saw somewhere that its 6 maybe for A Div now and 9 Mos for B Div?? Does that sound right?? I cant remember where I saw that maybe im loosing it alredy =P

Im going on a limb and say the Sept 30 class is full and hopefully theres a Oct Class. I took my D/T on 9/6 and havnt heard back yet but if theres a Oct Class we should hear something next few weeks.

I took mine on 9/6 too with no call yet, so im assuming the Sept class is full. Any word on the Oct Class dates?? Is it the last Mon in Oct??

Anybody get called for Medical that has took there intial D/T?? Any word if the Sept 30th class is full?? In hoping to get into a Oct Class but with say 3 or 4 weeks to spare before i get in if I do. TIA guys

For ppl filling out the 21 page booklet how far are you going back on Education?? I.e High School or Middle and Elem?? Also Employment any1 not go to SS and just put down rough estimates on dates especially if you know the jobs since HS. The girl at 180 Livingston said you dont need exact dates on Employment and Education just back to HS but I remember reading here awhile back ppl putting Elem School which I thought was overboard. Thanks guys

I heard various times of calling you back for medical some guys months others weeks and another guy told me at 180 Livingston he got called back within 3 days I guess it al depends on there needs to fill up classes

I brought a drivers abstract as im out of state and she said I didnt need one. But it states it on the Cover Sheet of the letter. Its one of those things if I didnt have it they probaly wouldnt have processed me

I just put the incident I had w a dui and I wound up getn my license susp in another state the case was dismissed no conviction..but in the 21 page booklet it asks about license susp so good thing I was upfront abt the incident I was just letting the incident be known in the pre interview comments section..the lady said w the court disposition they will sign off on it if it was a dismissal and take the whizz quiz same day..but ur right abt the above cpd -b statement

I'm returning this monday with the paperwork then I can take the wizz quiz the same day

I got my 21 page booklet but have to go back with a court disposition for a court dissmal I mentioned in my pre interview booklet..so my process has stopped for now

Yes Sept 3rd =) thanks man I'm stoked Hey question for ppl that went thru the process..say I take the D/T tues and they call me for medical in 2wks to try and get me into the last mon class in Sept..if I pass everything can I asked to be placed into a Oct class?? This is moving fast for me I'm making a move to NYC w help from family and was wondering because the more planning the better for me but didn't know if you have that option to pick a class or take what they give you. Just got my letter to report to Livingston Tues Sept FYI to guys waiting. This is for D/T

im 69* and was called up in April for D/T but declined and took my name off the list

B Shivers said specifically D/T but maybe thsts becuz that's what I need to take. .either way things will start rolling soon I think..I'm hoping for a Oct class

Just spoke to B Shivers they will be sendn out letters for 1st and 2nd time D/T very soon just a fyi

Hey guys can someone shed some light, I recently put my name back on the list after taking it off back in April, I wasnt ready for the job yet. So i sent a letter to DCAS to get re-enstated and I got a letter from DCAS stating im back on the list about 3 weeks ago, but I just called DCAS and it says im NOT on outstanding certification. I took my name off the list when I first got my letter for the D/T so I still need to take my D/T. My list# is 69* with NOT being on outstanding certification will it take some time to get back on with just being re-enstated or should I make a call?? Thanks in advance guys

Wow alot of stuff going on here. This sounds like any other job you have some people that dont deserve the job, I have ppl I work with now that are so out there and sounds like this has its ppl a few fries short of a happy meal. How do you show up to a job to operate a train full of ppl drunk and come onto TA Property with a gun?? It sounds to me that ppl with common sense and want to learn make it here, what ashame. Also any news on future classes now after this mess anybody get any letters to come down for Medical or D/T??

So from what the article says these retirees are running Equipment Trains Post Sandy?? Not Revenue Service Trains?? Man it sounds crazy down there is there that much shortage of manpower down there?? It says 3400 T/Os how many does the MTA need to run smoothly??

Thanks Etrain appreciate the words of wisdom. Ive always wanted to be a TO its almost a dream on mine, now that being said my current job is a disaster we have no organization I work crazy hours even my RDOs are being taken away and we change job duties everyday like underwear. I know the MTA isnt going to have the greenest grass but at least theres structure and ppl know there jobs. And Im a very confident person as far as my learning level so I would embrace schoolcar and like you said take it seriously which I would. Ohhhhhhhhh nooooooooo, and I just re-enstated my name back on the list. So what do you guys think of the School Car classes for the last Monday of every month?? I was hoping to get into maybe a Sept or Oct Class, im list# 69* but I still have to take my DT and Medical, ill be dissappointed if I dont get in im sickkkkkk of my current job. For the current MTA TOs seeing what ppl are posting here with rookies messing up, and others saying retirees arent going to come back for nothing. What does the future hold in your opinion.
