  1. Yes it is a shame!!!! Out of at least 700 drivers in Gleason, I was 1 of 4 Drivers that actually FOUGHT to pull one out damn near everyday!!! With the run I have now I cannot drive them anymore being I have relief runs all week long. Man I'm gonna miss them dearly!! The ringing, the turbo, the comfort, everything about those buses!!!! Ummm....I've seen it plenty of times out there, NGs and Orion Vs on the Bx12. What makes it worst is that they were on the SBS!!!!
  2. Well, say goodbye to Gleason's Orion V CNGs, as the Next batch of 2012 C40LF's are making their way in!! So far, the ONLY ones I know of in service are 9843, 9845, and 9864. The rest have either been retired/stored or shipped to other garages for their remainder of their lives! I as a driver LOVE those buses and it will be sad to see them go!!!!
  3. The Old C40s is where it's at!!!! Yes, there are some slow ones but for the most part, they runthey asses off!!! The new ones are good too, but there are some flaws with them!
  4. man, THAT is a rush for me LMAO!!! I love every bit of it! And I WISH I had the chance to drive those!! I really woulda been no good lol
  5. I was just on 9595....That bus is the business!!!!!
  6. You guys wanna talk slow buses?! Man?! One day I was assigned 856 to do my 2nd half on the B35. I swear, everytime I hit the gas, my head started pounding. That bus had absolutely NO power!!! Then there was 976. The damn thing pops everytime you hit the gas, another one with no power. Then there's 907......UGH!!! I wanted to drive the damn thing into the river somewhere!!!!
  7. No they aren't. That, along with a few others, we're spotted in service
  8. Tuesday evening while walking around JG, I saw 2 Orion Vs there...9928, and 9845. Dunno if they are staying there, but when i pulled in that night, I saw 9928 on the ready line to go out the next morning....just when I thought the Vs are done at LG......
  9. The 9400s from Brooklyn are not THAT bad......just like everything, they need to be worked on. I drove a few of them and although i was NEVER a fan favorite of the upper 9300s-9400s, there are some very good ones and some piss poor ones. Quiet as its kept, 9489 (a former 126th street Bus), should have stayed at 126th Street......
  10. Ok not for nothing, but why does he need to show you proof of it being there? Call me crazy, but if this B/O friend of yours told you that 9492 was at 126th Street, then where is HIS proof? Perhaps you never asked him because you straight took his word for it. However, when ciboii tells you something, automatically he has to have proof. To me, that is not right, and I think you are bashing on him just because. Truth be told, I would believe ciboii on WHATEVER he tells me about Ulmer Park because he literally goes by there everyday. Hell, when i was working there he told me what was there before I even got there!!! How about just giving him the benefit of the doubt. If you don't believe him, then simply do not reply to him, it's that simple. Also, has it ever occurred to you that maybe 9492 was there only as a transporter bus? As in, when LGA received a bunch of RTSs from UP recently, 5083 was there as well, and everybody jumped up and down saying there's a ZF at LGA, when it was only there to transport drivers BACK to UP. So if 126 received anything from UP then 9492 could have been used for transportation back to Brooklyn. Keep that in the back of your mind. Not bashing on you or anything, just stating some facts. Maybe you can go spot these things for yourself, if you don't believe anybody else, just saying.
  11. Well from what I heard, 8756 went from Ulmer Park (which was a great bus), to LGA, to ECH Storage, now it was spotted in Flatbush! Also, Ulmer Park has received MCi DL3 #'s 1916 and 1893 and MCI D4500 # 2889...
  12. The new Flyer Xcelsiors are slated for Delivery to Ulmer Park Ending of July, follwoing those will be the NG Diesels!
  13. Rumor has it that these buses are mainly staying on the B6. The yard dispatcher gives them out to whoever trained on them, as they have a list on who is certified to drive them. Me personally, I want NOTHING to do with them!
  14. Ok there is an order of 90 LFS buses coming in......Ulmer Park is getting 30, QV is getting 30, and Charleston is getting 30!! I believe Charleston is the 1st to get their set as they are always "top priority", followed by Ulmer park, then QV
  15. Nothing is built like the old GMC RTS!!! These buses are really showing their age though. AS good of a bus they are, they cannot withstand what we put them through as long as the GMC did.
  16. Well guess what, UP ain't givin up no buses!!!! We actually have ALOT of buses Out of Service and this morning they were PUSHING 9388 into the depot!!! LGA is short because.....well.....you know.......it;s LGA!!! UP is short because ALOT of the buses are awaiting parts.....
  17. Friday during my RTS wheelchair training at Ulmer Park, there was a burnt up RTS being towed to it's death, I am not sure if it was 9099 or this 9246 (first time I am hearing of this one burning up, it was a POS anyways) but I asked the guy that works the yeard and he said the compressor blew up in it, which caused the fire.....but again, I am not sure which bus it was......what happened with that 9421?or23.... as well as 9101?
  18. 9083 was Out of Service?! No Wonder why i haven't seen it!!!! Thats 1 good ass bus!
  19. Ur right....I believe 8798 came from storage but 8785 was NEVER in storage....that was fresh from the ECH depot, not storage yard
  20. Also, I don't think UP is gettin only 30 LFSs.....last I heard, there is gonna be I believe the whole set going to UP, but then I am hearing QV is getting a bunch too, so it isn't certain as to how many UP will be getting...they haven't had a fleet of brand new buses since 1996 when 9077-9110 and 9295-9344 came in.....everything else was hand me downs
  21. Remember, just because a depot has only a few lines, doesn't mean they don't need the buses...the B6 alone has I think 104 runs.....Then you have the next heaviest line, which is the B36 with I believe 50 runs.....and you have school runs on top of school runs.....trust me, they need the buses....then you have to put in consideration that buses break down.
