Lol its real...I found this at Penn Station on the uptown (1) platform after I got off work today. the time also said 6 a.m but I didn't get a picture of that since the train was comming

That sign proved that 2012 is bullshit.:(

  2. Amazing! When I started this thread, I didn't think it would be so popular, maybe, but here we are at page 200 and one post from post #2000.

Thank you to everyone who contributed a random thought and thank you to Harry, Zach, East New York, Y2 Julio, and Dan 05979 for allowing this thread.

  3. Everyone who hopes Kawasaki! No bombardier supports I see...they made a breakthrough with the R142.

Btw I do hope Kawasaki gets it...

Im betting on Bombardier.Bombardier is also in N.Y.Plattsburgh to be exact. So money and jobs will be kept in New York

    Bombardier supporter Right here.

  4.

I don't care who gets to build these cars. I want to see if the (MTA) picked the right contractors to build these cars, and I just want to see if it would get done in time. Since the R160's were built in Brazil then I guess they are Brazilian.
Half Brazillian, part French and Part American to be exact.
  5. Nothing really, I think everyone wants it to go to Kawasaki because one of there plants is in Yonkers, meaning more jobs and money for the state and they can be delivered faster. Although they still construct body shells in different places, R160 shells were made in Brazil.

  6. Totally agreed... I can't wait for more comfy seating, cleaner lager bathroom and smoother ride.

The article mentioned these cars are the most complicated cars in North America? How so? Is it because they are AC and DC cars?

I was spoke to A conductor on the MNRR and he even said that the cars eat up way too much electricity and that they are too complicated.Remember they also dont run on DC motors; They run on AC permanent magnet motors, which are also problematic.
