  1. Yup, I got it. Thanks a lot.

  2. Yeah, I remember that. It was something about the $12 wine vs. the $14 wine or something like that. Maybe he can take those $2 and put it towards getting me a new computer. :D

  3. You know, I could picture him when he eats at one of his fancy restaurants. You're familiar with the SpongeBob Squarepants episodes, right? In the one called Pickles, the guy goes up to Squidward and asks for some kind of crazy order, and Squidward goes "We serve food here sir". I can only imagine what those waiters have to go through.

  4. Yeah. Heaven forbid he has to put up with those Prevosts. Geez, what do you expect for $5.50? :(

  5. LOL. I remember all the times when he was talking about moving. He's like "The neighborhood has to have a certain level of affluence, and walkability, and peacefulness. And Lord help you if it doesn't have express buses".

  6. Yeah, you've got to love those 5 page debates we get into on something that isn't even remotely related to the original topic. We go from discussing BusTime to arguing about how safe SI neighborhoods are.

  7. LOL. No. What would make you think that? I did meet him in person, though.

  8. Yeah, I think you mentioned it a couple of months ago, and then when I saw how the posts lined up, it made sense to me.

  9. Got it. Thanks.

  10. Yeah, I saw the Westchester data. Interesting stuff. Maybe I'm missing something, but where is the cost per passenger on the routes?

For a domain name, maybe statmaster.com, or transitstats.com would work.

  11. Just one question: If I add you as a collaborator on my SI Bus Map and SI Rail Map, do you think that that wil help you post it up?

  12. Send in another request to see if the reason is that you included West of Hudson data.

  13. Do you have the address to your Youtube account? I'm interested in seeing the videos you put up.

  14. So how many pages will it be? It shouldn't be more than a few dollars for the planning guidelines, no?

Is there any way they can just send it to you via email or something?

  15. Yeah, I was talking about historical data for bus routes, but no problem. Can you get the per-train ridership for MNRR then?

    Thanks.

  16. Yeah, ask for the NYCT Planning Guidelines. Those would be interesting to see.

Also, is there any cost data from 2008? They had booklets, but they didn't have the cost data.

  17. I read the manual regarding creating schedules. It was interesting, but a lot of it was things that I already knew (don't give too much layover time, try to interline runs, etc). Still, thanks for sending it to me.

  18. Who knows. Maybe we'll run into each other in the future.

  19. Thanks for the link, but it looks like I'll be doing a summer program here in NYC regarding engineering (I always had an interest in engineering, and transit planning has always been sort of my backup career plan).

I'll look into it, though. I have a brother who's also interested in public transportation, and it would definitely be cool to talk to students from around the country regarding public transportation.
