Him I don't know, he might have picked out when i came here. Yes 126th is a TA depot but that doesn't exclude you from being able to pick in here. There are 3 OA cleaner/helpers here right now that just came out of the last class. If there's space you can pick into any TA or OA depot. But here at 126th, you can't get bumped out like in queens, staten island, and Brooklyn.

How the job is depends on the depot and the division that u are in. I just made a year and i have weekends and holidays off, but im a special case. When I got hear, a whole bunch of guys retired and I moved up automatically. This is only because this depot exist in the void between Brooklyn Division and Manhattan Division. Good thing about that is you can't get bumped out of this depot. Bad thing is if you leave, your seniority is gone... If you like your job and your schedule, don't leave. Do your time there and retire...even though I heard that they are trying to phase out that elevator mechanic job.

Ps. Im actually gonna take that Car Inspector exam. They get paid a little more, but i hear the overtime isn't as plentiful...
