mark1447 Posted July 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 22, 2009 Is it true that there are cameras on buses? Cuz If you notice the GH's +SBS and most buses our of MJQ have caneras shown but behind the circular plastic in black on the ceilings of the bus. But other buses have that sign saying that you may be recorded by camera, but i dont see any cams. Unless its hidden, more like micro cams.. bveguy Posted July 22, 2009 Share #2 Posted July 22, 2009 YOU MAY doesn't mean that YOU WILL BE lol. But those black round things on the ceilings of buses are the cameras, so just watch out.
Rob0922 Posted July 22, 2009 Share #3 Posted July 22, 2009 The Quill depot in Manhattan had camera buses that were shipped to the Flatbush depot in Brooklyn after the murder of Bus Operator Edwin Thomas. There are a minumum of 9 cameras on each bus. One mounted in the windshield pointed forward to track bus movement in case of a collision. The others are mounted in the ceiling pointed at several points including the back door to take pictures of "fare beaters".There is also one directly over the operators head which monitors the operators activity it pivots toward the front door also to capture pictures of "fare beaters" coming thru the front door. Most camera buses are in the 8000 series.
