kaback9 Posted November 25, 2009 Author #4 Posted November 25, 2009 Hey you caught 4300, good job! - A It comes out of hiding on occasion. Transit guys hate these units though something about the gearing, I'm not to sure though since I really don't see them to often other than in this service or in equipment moves, I'm sure they would work fine though on NS or CSX heck maybe even in shared assets pool service LOL. nice pics(NJT):njc: Thanks!
metsfan Posted November 26, 2009 #5 Posted November 26, 2009 I have a feeling some of the geeps will go to freight & other places once the ALP-45's are all delivered. Heck, could use one if they ever re-activated to bethlehem. - A

I don't see any of these units going to a class one unless parts or rebuild. I think they are more likely to end up on a short line, smaller commuter agency or scrap. Hopefully one of the CNJ units will be saved B)

I overheard a conversation about some folks saving one or 2 CNJ geeps for excursion use while i was at hoboken the other day snappin' photos. They may have been railfans or operators of said service, not sure, just know it was about those specific units & saving one or 2. Would be cool if they ran to phillipsburg & back from hoboken! - A
