Apparently, there was signal trouble at WTC (from what I could understand of the overhead announcement) and E trains were routed to 2nd Avenue. At West 4th St, there was an E on the 6th ave local track signed for 2nd Avenue. The F train that I was on pulled in on the lower level express track and was going to Stillwell via B or D route. Hard to understand the announcement and I was leaving the station. The V went via the F route. There were a lot of confused passengers at West 4th st at the height of the evening rush hour.
