Dan05979 Posted January 5, 2010 Share #51 Posted January 5, 2010 Quick question: what happens to the train operator who is, in a sense, responsible for such an incident? From what I heard, they are placed on leave for year. I doubt that, they probably talk to a some sort of trauma person and go right back to work. Y2Julio Posted January 5, 2010 Share #52 Posted January 5, 2010 Quick question: what happens to the train operator who is, in a sense, responsible for such an incident? From what I heard, they are placed on leave for year. They get 2-3 days of leave to get "help" and then are to report back to work.
St Louis Car 09 Posted January 5, 2010 Share #53 Posted January 5, 2010 I doubt that, they probably talk to a some sort of trauma person and go right back to work.Right.But a motorman has little liability in the situation,it isn`t like you can swerve a 60 ton train off the track and go around him.Now a car is different, because at least a car you have a chance to avoid a hit and run and More chances of survival for the victim.
