Zman Posted January 24, 2010 Share #26 Posted January 24, 2010 I would ask them to step outside the train and explain how the engineer will put the throttle on max power in that direction (while pointing with fingers towards bumper block). Knowing some New Yorkers, after that they'd probably tell you to go f*ck yourself. Some people don't react very well to sarcasm.
Rutgers Tube Posted January 26, 2010 Share #27 Posted January 26, 2010 No, these people are used to having their trains platform on one of the tracks going into the loop. They only get confused when their train is on one of the other tracks. I know, the above explanation is a far stretch but it could happen A loop terminal is one thing. GCT is all pockets. The old "Open Sesame" trick doesn't allow an invisible door to magically open and the Hogwarts Express to negotiate the floor of the Main Concourse. I TRY to give people the benefit of the doubt, but when I hear questions like "Which way will this train go?" being asked, all I can think to myself is that "I REEEEEEALLY hope that I never see this person on the highway." Silly questions get equally silly answers. Ask and ye shall receive.
