Took this video today in Baltimore. A Honda Fit was T-Boned at an intersection by a Chevy Lumina. The woman driver was stunned but not hurt, yet was difficult to exit the vehicle which was on its side:

I agree, but it gets great gas mileage. The Honda Element is even uglier.
