No Service at Sutphin Blvd/JFK and Archer Av!

NX Express

Recommended Posts

Due to switch trouble at the Jamaica-Van Wyck Boulevard Station:

Both directions, (E) trains are running on the line from the Union Turnpike-Kew Gardens Station to the Jamaica-179th Street Station.

There is a temporary suspension in both directions on the (E) trains from the Jamaica-Van Wyck Boulevard Station to the Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer Station.

Both directions, (J) train service has been temporarily suspended from the 111th Street Station to the Jamaica Center-Parsons Archer Station.

As an alternative, customers are advised to take Q44 or Q56 bus making nearby station stops.

Please expect delays in service on the (E) and (J) trains at this time.

What timing for this suspension to happen on the busiest travel days of the year and one of America's biggest holiday weekends to boot.

I don't get it, how can a broken switch at Jamaica-Van Wyck affect service on the (J) line?

That's what I'm thinking. Where's the service to Jamaica Center/Sutphin Blvd-JFK by riding the subway? There will be too much overcrowding people in the bus when there is no service to Jamaica just like there is no Manhattan (N) between Coney Island and 36th Street and people take the B9 between Bay Parkway and 4th Avenue and since there was too much people, the B/O has to skip stops and I was squished. Once people got off 8th Avenue, there are less people in the bus.

Its a power outage for the (J), I was on the last train that stopped @121st and got stuck there for a good hour.
