Andy Posted January 21, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2011 According to you which set should I get...? I need help on deciding. I do not want to hear "oh... it's up to you." I'm really stuck on this... Lo-v (30-2447-1) R40 BMT Standards R11/R34 What I'm looking for: good sounds and detail. It would be excellent to have passengers/motormen, but I really don't care... Brighton Local Posted January 22, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 22, 2011 I Love the Slants. I own a few R40 Sets. The R11 is really nice though man. I wouldn't pass it up. I still want to get the R34. The standards? I have the 3-car add on for display. Eventually, Ill probably get the first 3 with the powered unit. My Choice.. The R11. Theyre really cool and shiny. The sounds are terrific and the detail is awesome!
Andy Posted January 22, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted January 22, 2011 I might go with that, but I can only go to trainworld. I know the R40s are $399.99, but trainworld doesn't state how much the R11/R34 are.
EE Broadway Local Posted January 25, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 25, 2011 Andy, The B.R.T./B.M.T. Standards are a classic New York City subway car which served from 1914-1918 to 1969.

Trust me when it comes to the NYC Subway, Amtrak, etc nobody needs to tell me when trains were built or where the last stop is or what's the difference between the R62 or R62A. Thanks though no offense. So your choice is the BMT Standards?
RedbirdKing Posted January 28, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 28, 2011 Andy, my opinion is the R11. To back that up my freind has one and it looks awsome and has had no problems with for a few months. I would go with that over the other 3.
