jay.rosenthal Posted December 30, 2011 Share #1 Posted December 30, 2011 What trains have diesel equipment that stop at North White Plains to and from Grand Central Terminal?
Amtrak7 Posted December 30, 2011 Share #2 Posted December 30, 2011 North White Plains or White Plains? North White Plains, being more of a park and ride stop rather than an employment center, doesn't see many Wassaic trains. Weekday: 7:21 departure southbound, no northbounds Saturday: 9:23 departure southbound, 19:23 departure northbound Sunday: 20:21 departure southbound, 19:23 departure northbound All Wassaic through trains make White Plains, though. Truckie Posted December 31, 2011 Share #4 Posted December 31, 2011 In addition to what Amtrak7 listed: Train 949 (weekdays) GCT to Wassaic: Departs GCT @ 1544 hrs, arrives @ NWP @ 1620 hrs. Train 9949 (weekends) GCT to Wassaic: Departs GCT @ 1722 hrs, arrives @ NWP @ 1759 hrs. Note: the 1923 northbound departure previously mentioned is only on Jan 16 (MLK Day). That is not likely bom equipment as it's connecting service @ Southeast.
HomeBall Posted January 3, 2012 Share #5 Posted January 3, 2012 One of the super express to NWP in the morning is bomb equipment, don't know the train number off hand, gets in to NWP around 8:15 or so...
Amtrak7 Posted January 3, 2012 Share #6 Posted January 3, 2012 Looking in my ridership book, these non-Wassaic Harlem trains are diesels (too lazy to look up times): 538,
jay.rosenthal Posted January 3, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted January 3, 2012 What are the times and directions for those trains?
Truckie Posted January 3, 2012 Share #8 Posted January 3, 2012 Train 538 is a NWP to GCT limited stop train departing @ NWP @ 0859 hrs. Train 515 is a GCT to NWP express departing GCT @ 0742 hrs. Judging from the times I'd say these trains are the same equipment possible for fueling @ NWP. The only discrepancy is there is no fuel on premises @ NWP. All equipment fueling is done by an outside contractor with a fuel truck.
