Concourse Express Posted April 7, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2012 Cross-posted from SubChat; these are the annual subway ridership data for each station in 2011. Hope you guys enjoy! Some notes: 1) Cumulative subway ridership, which surpassed 1.64 billion, is the highest in NYCS history. 2) Ridership is up in the entire Eastern Division in Brooklyn and Queens (except Myrtle-Wyckoff); I believe this is directly attributable to the new M. 3) Ridership at most stations have increased; while some saw decreases (aside from those closed for rehab for a time), the upward trend will likely continue so long as economic recovery continues (IMHO). T to Dyre Avenue Posted April 8, 2012 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2012 Speaking of the new orange M, where's the smiley for it? There's only a smiley for the old brown M. What gives?
Concourse Express Posted April 9, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted April 9, 2012 I noticed that too; that's why I didn't use the M bullet.
JubaionBx12+SBS Posted April 11, 2012 Share #4 Posted April 11, 2012 http://www.mta.info/nyct/facts/ridership/ridership_sub.htm From what I see there's very little change from 2010 but overall there was growth at plenty of stations. Feel free to discuss.
