Jamaica Express 27 Posted August 17, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2007 Didn't know wheather to put this in the NJ Transit or SIR threads As many ppl know there have been proposals to extend the HBLR to Staten Island,if so wouldn't a possible route be once the line hits Staten Island for it to run via the North Shore Line into St.George,it could be a Joint Operation between the MTA and NJ Transit, just like how it is on the Metro-North's Port Jervis and Pascack Valley Lines,it would give ppl in the NY/NJ Hudson County area more options in and out of NJ and give Bayonne residents an alternate way into NY possibly
Pablo M 201 35 Posted August 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 17, 2007 give Bayonne residents an alternate way into NY possiblyThats the LAST thing Bayonne residents should do UNLESS they are going to SI, or maybe south Brooklyn if I can connect to an SI bus that goes to Brooklyn from HBLR. But to go to Manhattan, going into SI first is just the worse option, just stick to HBLR to something that goes to NY, mainly PATH. But yeah, HBLR should be extended to SI via the Bayonne Bridge.
