After bus "exam" - what's next?

First of all I couldn't believe the "test". It was all personality questions - "Do your co-workers consider you postal?", "Do you want to shoot people when you get angry?" etc. Not a single question related to driving a bus. So what's next? This is my second time around. I drove a MTA bus in the mid-80s but quit. Will that work in my favor?

Providing you pass the BOSS exam (which is what you are describing), you will be placed on a list, which is what the MTA hires from. Depending on your list number depends on how soon you will be called. The smaller the #, the better. The amount of time can vary from a couple of months to 4 years (usually). After you go through the hiring process and training process successfully, you will then be driving a bus.

As far as whether driving a MTA bus in the mid-80s will help, it depends on the details from the MTA's perspective. One question which will definitely be asked is: Why did you quit?
