FamousNYLover Posted October 25, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted October 25, 2013 2nd picture on left page. The following is guide of known MetroCard vendors, their addresses, what bus route(s) they are closest to and what prices of MetroCards they sell. The Long Island Bus Riders' Union created this guide as a way to supplement the lack of MetroCard Vending Machines and provide bus riders with greater access to stores where they can buy a MetroCard. If you would like to see more MetroCard Vending Machines at major bus depots and transfer points, contact your legislator! Below are the phone numbers for each Nassau County Legislator. The Bus Riders Union originated with the Coalition to Save Long Island Bus and is a project of Long Island Jobs with Justice. Bus riders should not be left to worry that they will be stranded without bus service. We should not have to worry about fare increases and service cuts. We should not have to choose between food and a bus pass, or be forced to drop out of school because no buses will take us there. Join the Long Island Bus Riders' Union to stand up for your rights as a bus rider.
