Go to http://web.mta.info/nyct/hr/, click on "Apply Online for Open Competitive Examinations." Once you do that, click on the link at the top to register or make a new account. From here it is pretty straight forward. If you still need help, especially with the amount of technology that is around us, you should be able to find someone who can help you. Examples are asking a family member, someone at your library or local community or neighborhood, etc. Think of it as online shopping in a way. If you want to buy something from Amazon, Ebay, etc., you have to create an online account so the site will remember your information for future on-line shopping. Same concept here, it's just that you're applying and paying for an exam instead of purchasing something. If you were successful in creating an on-line profile with this site, you're 1/2 way there. OR: If you were to apply for the Car Inspector Exam, which is currently open for filing, go to http://web.mta.info/nyct/hr/pdf_exams/5610.pdf, print out the necessary papers, fill them in and mail it.
