How Will Public Transit Survive the COVID-19 Crisis?

I stand corrected, Public Transit in New York won't survive without a good deep cleaning and sanitation. Some time needs to be dedicated to cleaning the Sixth Avenue, Eight Avenue, and QBL, and Seventh Avenue Subway Lines before people can go back to work.

There hasn’t been a single part of NY being “clean” since the Dutch founded New Amsterdam. And even then it was a dirty swamp.

So long as employers require employees to be in the office and commercial real estate doesn’t collapse, (NYCT) will survive - even if it’s dirty (it’s not like (MTA) took time during essential service to stop stations from leaking water during rainstorms...).

What will possibly collapse besides WeWork and the month-to-month commercial subletters? Uber & Lyft - especially if the unemployment rate stays high until next year.
