This is an R68A 5154 on the (;) at Brighton Beach. It was sitting there for about eight minutes so I decided to photograph as much detail as possible before the rush hour passengers stampeded the train. Here it is.

Guess the fellow passengers didn't mind at all.

That is all.

The R68As are no doubt the best cars Kawasaki had ever made for the subway. The other cars are just way too noisy.

The R68As are the best cars Kawasaki has ever built, hands down, other than the N.T.T. cars built recently. Personally, even though the R68 cars are almost similar to the R68A car series, the R68As to me are much better, have a nice feel to it, and they just seem cleaner to me than the R68 cars. As you said the NTT cars Kawasaki built makes more noise than a R68A.

Nice pics! The (;) is a hippo line.

YES! Although sad to see the R40S/40M/42 cars go, the (:P using the R68/68A cars are so much better, perpendicular leaning seats, so it's easier to look out the window, rather than doing a 180 degree turn sitting down on the 60 footers, on the Brighton Express. The hippos are great on the (;).
