Via Garibaldi 8 Posted August 31, 2014 Share #3 Posted August 31, 2014 I find it funny that nobody pays any attention to you when you're taking photos or shooting which is odd because I know you're not that short... Do you blend in that much? Me on the other hand, people can't stop gawking at me... Quite annoying too... If I was taking photos in the city, it would be 10X worse... I can usually blend in very easily...

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted August 31, 2014 Share #6 Posted August 31, 2014 Don't worry, I got my ways. I can usually blend in very easily... By the way... Why in the world did you go to Throggs Neck? I have to say I did a tour of that area via Google maps... Really isn't my cup of tea... It's very suburban looking but the houses just seem kind of bunched together and not in a good way either. Probably all of the Section 8 houses they stuck in there when they tore down some of the old ones... Doesn't look like the Bronx, but it certainly doesn't look that aesthetically appealing to go and visit... lol Couldn't see myself living there that's for sure, even the parts by the water. It was not a bad ride,Thursday trip has about 15 riders, and the Friday one had 6, so it was more spacious, lol. I walked down to 23 thinking that bus was gonna be full ( because, come on now, it's the second highest ridership bus route in the MTA bus company network). Also I could get home from Throgs Neck with $2.50. I'll agree with you that Throgs Neck isn't your typical suburban like neighborhood. You'll still have some of those "badass" types there trying to be fancy and all of that. I'll probably say that the Edgewater Park community is kind of different from the rest of Throggs Neck. The BxM9's ridership tends to be spread out, so long as a bus doesn't go MIA. If that happens then you can have packed buses. I always see folks waiting at various stops, regardless of the time of day and always see people riding. I've even seen the last Sunday BxM9's dropping off in the city, so while not every trip is packed, it still does well.

The thursday trip was like at like 5:15 or something around 44 street, and the other one was the 5:52 trip from 23rd. Totally different balances. I'm still surprised you haven't said anything about the green sign bus, lol.
