Sometimes buses just get forgotten when it comes to old ads (this applies to trains too- Many R46s still have those improving non-stop ads and even the Montague closure ads- which were rendered moot because in typical MTA fashion, the and swapped cars, but I digress) Also depots can get quirky about where they place ads. For example, Ulmer Park refuses to place front ads on its Xcelsiors. Jackie Gleason used to never put ads on the front or the right side of the 1999 C40LFs (only 878 received one for the National Veterans Wheelchair Games and kept it years after the event ended) This practice ended when the new (2012's) were the majority and a few older ones received them as well. (878's side ad) (your standard C40LF out of Jackie Gleason-I could keep posting pictures if I really wanted to because they are my favorite bus) Both photos from TTMG.
