I'm just trying to prove that the N51 souldnt be completely cut because it does pick up some people on saturday

The N51 is not THE most used route in the NICE system. But the N45 is muchmuchmuchmuch worse. The N45 probably averages 1 or 2 people a trip. The N51 can actually pick up passengers (7:40ish out of Merrick and others). Not all the N51s are empty. Some probably are full 1/3ish. Maybe 1/2 the bus was full at most I've ever seen it. But today i saw an N51 with an N58 LED display in front, stuck in the middle of transferring screens. Although on the back, it read N51. weird.

Well... The provides alternate service via 63 St and is local after Jakcson Heights. The turns @ Whitehall, and the is via lower Manhattan. service is unchanged. The runs to 23 St/ Ely Av. The is not running. service is beefed up. A shuttle (let's call it the ) runs between Northern Blvd and Jamaica Center. The (Q101) bus is rerouted via Broadway from Steinway St to Northern Blvd . There, it follows the (Q18) back to its normal route. The (Q101) is also extended to Court Square . I noticed something... the no Saturday service on the n51, and people between Hempstead turnpike and Merrick road are left w/o service. as for the n45, no one actually uses it.

On april 8, NICE bus plans to majorly improve some lines. This is from the NICE site: LINK SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS/NEW LINES n4: there are no longer any short-turns n6 Express: This new express route will replace the N6L and will operate from Hempstead Transit Center to the 179th Street/Hillside Avenue Subway Station in Jamaica. The bus will make limited stops in Hempstead then run express between Westminster Road and 179th Street. We believe that commuters will really appreciate this new express service to the 179th Street subway station! Service will operate every 10 minutes. For customers traveling west of 179th Street in Jamaica or to local stops between Hempstead and 165th Street Terminal, please use the n6 local. n6 Local: Based on customer feedback and independent research, running time will be added on the n6.
