  1. (6) only runs 125 to Pelham Bay Park

    (4) replaces (6) as local in Manhattan, probably increase the TPH - if TPH increased, send some to New Lots if Utica can't handle turning the trains

    (1) terminates at Rector

May want to run some  (2) trains via Lex and increase (3) train TPH. Then again, depends on how many trains New Lots can turn since it normally turns (2) and (5) trains as well during Rush Hours.

how can you terminate at rector in order to go back uptown without using the loop?

  2. here one.

Due to government issue , no trains is allow to use any loops as turn around.

How would you resolve the south ferry area and city hall. since the normal south ferry close you still need to handle this situation now.

But the catch is you have to be careful how many tph is going to be delayed other normal tph.

  3. to amend my statement.

When the first fasttrak they only did one week. i guess at that time it was little shabby  they can do much on one week. Now with  some fastrack today, it either long stretch between the two temporary terminals or when they was surveyed the area, it look bad on the their eye but it can be fix in less time then they thought. it better to try to do two weeks rather then one. Maybe their target is maintain all in once in two weeks, then thereafter the fastrack can be reduced to one week.

    This is IMO

  4. just wanted to share with you folks. I was at NWK yesterday waiting for my friend, so i was watching the depaturevision on the screen. There was Acela to Boston which was running 50 minutes late. We all know they alway assign to track 2 but with this train it was assigned to Track A on  last minute.  Now that rare. I bet nobody heard of this before.

  5. Update:

Due to a rail condition at Grand St, the following service changes are in effect:

There is no b.png train service between DeKalb Av and Bedford Pk Blvd in both directions.

Northbound b.png are running on the r.png line from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to Whitehall St-South Ferry and terminate.

    Southbound d.png terminate at W 4 St-Washington Square.

Northbound d.png are running on the q.png line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to 57 St-7Av.

b.png, d.png, f.png and m.png trains are running with delays in both directions

    Allow additional travel time.

Interesting with the (B) running to Whitehall and the (D) is running to 57th street-7th avenue. The (F) and (M) is not affected at all but delays

was it necessary to make the D run on the Q when it could switch at either dekalb ave or before the split to the bridge?

  6. you guys keep forgetting the number one rule in small print disclaimer "Subject to change without notice". That mean later on there could be more or less Fastrack and the section they are suppose to work on can be change to different location. Please understand that. if you don't ask your folk to help you.

  7. here another head scratching

    Service Change  Posted: 12/29/2014  8:32PM

Due to signal problems at Bay 50 St, the following service changes are in effect:

Some southbound d.png trains terminate at Bay Pkwy or Bay 50 St.

d.png and n.png trains are running with delays in both directions.

    Allow additional travel time.

two separate line that don't come close together. Why is the N is affected???? WTF????
  8. i bet you will be scratching your head with this service change

    Service Change  Posted: 12/28/2014 12:35PM

Due to a rail condition at 25 Av (BKLYN), northbound d.png trains are local from 36 St (BKLYN) to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and northbound n.png trains are local from 59 St (BKLYN) to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

    Allow additional travel time.

due you suppose they meant 25 street on the express track?

  9. I don't see it.

    (6) runs to 149th St? That's just duplicating the (4). I know, there isn't much other option.

mta dude one question about yourself how old are you?

This is how we all found out go to mta.info then click on subway then click on service announcement then click on canlendar for monday after new years then click on the (6) then submit then  read that page.

  10. Please don't hijack the thread.

Pjbr, it was probably deadheading and the driver didn't change the sign.

EDIT: Sorry bout that I forgot this is Random Thoughts.

tansitkid you don't know that because it could be a detour as well for one direction. 833 on newman spring road and it possible to detour to front street. between half mile road and middletown lincroft road. also red bank is main terminal starting point for either 832 or 833. if it was deadheading it would been going to neptune, nj

  11. Today 12-11 i saw a transdev NjTransit NABI bus off course. I was walking along Front Street between Red Bank and Middletown  This was app.1145 am. On the back of the bus it show either 832 or 833. I hope that driver didn't cross the bridge near the NJCL trestle track. Also i noticed the flasher light was on too. That was strange.

  12. Service Change

    Posted: 12/07/2014 11:55AM
Due to a police investigation of a customer injury at Canal St, the following service changes are in effect:
There is no southbound N , Q or R train service between Dekalb Av and Canal St.
N , Q and R trains are running with delays in both directions.
Southbound R trains are running on the F line from 36 St (QNS) to W 4 St-Washington Sq.
Southbound R trains are running on the D line from W 4 St Washington Sq to DeKalb Av.
    Allow additional travel time.

To me this dont make sense. why closed both Canal st platform when there is upper level for tunnel and lower level for bridge. Did the person get hurt where the merger of these two level?

  13. nope. they did the (D) and (N) fastback before.

    Read this:

Our next FASTRACK closure occurs December 27 and 28 on the d.pngn.png lines in Brooklyn.

    Did you forget this disclaimer?

While not expected, dates are subject to change. During each service change,
additional details will be posted at affected stations and here at mta.info
