  1. http://rlsmedia.com/breaking-news/article/removal-two-passengers-nj-transit-train-turns-violent

This little gem happened during rush hour on the Raritan Valley Line. After a game that Colombia won (after the biting game) these two thought it be ok to bring their bikes on the train and well the rest is on the video

I think the officers approached them in wrong way. I think these two cyclists didn't know that no bike allows on rush hour directional train. I am not sure if the officers showed them the fine print on the schedule. I believed that what caused all this altercationwhen the fine print was not shown. But i wasn't there so i don't know what really happen before the fight. Media sometime leave out major detail of how they do their job before the fight.

  2. it was a NAbI 6045 from Hillside. I think it was in training because i saw two njt employee walking toward the shops.

i was laughing at the Academy bus driver in my mind. There was a passenger playing music without a headphone The driver went on the Pa and said "you must wear headphone…...." Later when we got to Cheesequake, he yelled 3 times "Cheesequake"Typical driver who used  a PA in beginning then later ignore the Pa microphone. SMH

  3. mta dide. taking the r 62 from the corona to westchester was mention serval times here in this blog. They cross over to (N) to Atlantic Ave i believed. Switch to Manhattan then run it on 6 ave to Concourse yard then switch over to the 4 line and then down to 125 street. i believed then over to westchester yard. This is what i believed if i am correct. it was several pages ago.

  4. Just want to say few words from last few weeks of riding njt.

Does every transfer from bus to bus should be told on the Clever?Let say 832 at monmouth mall, they announce and display transfer to 831.At campbell junction on 834 they don't have  announcement or display transfer to 817. I find this strange and missing the connection that should be told.

I was on red bank bound the other day and a passenger push the tape for stop request. The bus was stopping at railroad crossing and of course open the door for listening to the train. Out of nowhere a passenger try to get off the bus right there and driver stop the passenger. The passenger was trying to get off at pinckney road. SMH. i think he wasn't aware of the railroad crossing and the rules for the bus driver when meed to cross railroad.

Bus driver shouldn't you guys want some kind of flashing light or your dashboard indicating a stop request have been push? i was on asbury park bound and the driver at the moment was tune out and didn't hear the stop request . The passenger had to tell him to stop. i am sure it was honest forgettable that we all been there. When my friend was training at the Mta for bus driver and i talk to him about bus stop request, he told me you can hear it and see it on corner of your eye. I said to him i think they should have flashing light for bus request on the dashboard.(my opinion what your?)

  5. i am little confused here. I am looking at the numbers on running rails vs 3 rail. it seem that running rails are like so much larger

then 3 rails. How can this be when they should be equal amount of feet. ? any help will be appreciated

    ie:

Track - Scraped and cleaned 39,925 feet of track and installed 556track plates and 70 tie blocks. Removed 48,200 pounds of scrap debris in 5,265 bags. checkMark_small.jpgThird Rail Operations -Cleaned 5,715 feet of track under and around the third rail and corrected 139 defects.

  7. I like to read al these kinds of thread. With the above posting on respecting others while cars are empty or the crowds is too rowdy. Anyway, I ride NJT a lot. There was one time my friend and I was riding back home during the rush hour. The whole car was quiet. This was before the quiet car was born. Anyway, all the passenger respected each other for peace and quiet after a hard day at work. You can hear the bogie hitting the rail and that is it. As of no where a mexican dude decided to take his cell phone out and started talking like he the only one have to do so. All of us was so pissed. Lucky, my friend went to the conductor who happen to be friend with her and told her in the other car to get him to be quiet. When the conductor walk up to the noisy mexican and had a few words, the whole car was back to quiet . I guess he learned his lesson on how to respect other in that car.
