I was told by 4P3607 that this is the last day for the 32 and 46 , any truth to this?
You should probably get your last pics/vids peeps...

For the most part Kawasaki's cars have been fairly decent and they usually take on small orders. I have no problems with them.
I like their stuff too, but I think it's about time we didn't get an order from them.

I'm sick and tired of Bombardier.
We haven't had an order from them in 10 years! Be tired of Kawasaki if anything...

I was on a R32 today, the rollsigns all were set to 168th Street and Washington Heights - 8th Avenue/Fulton and I didn't any to 168th G.O. today, thought I'd share that here. It definitely wasn't a , the flipdot was set to the , the rollsigns still said Far Rockaway, it ran on the express track, and as I said before it said Washington Heights on the rollsign.

Train is a train. As long as it ain't those God damn R68s, I'm cool. But I still do not see the point in the and downgrading into R62s.
Some line's gonna have to "downgrade". They might as well send them to the , whatever line they send them to there's gonna be people complaining so just make it easy and put them on the , after all these cars have the LEDs on the rollsigns.

Buying it no doubt about it. I'm a Mac user and always wanted the iPhone, but I didn't bother with the iPhone last year because of the lack of 4G, so I went with the Evo Shift instead. Sprint caps 3G data but not 4G, so I don't take my chances lol, and even if the 4S was 4G it'd probably have been LTE and Sprint had no LTE at the time. They just announced that LTE is coming to the NY very soon a few days ago, and I'm due for my upgrade on October 1st, so I can't wait to get this!

Just noticed this...the new CTs are getting ISLs?

Here's the video of a uptown via Whitehall:

Something's going on with the , and there's nothing about it on the MTA site. My just about an hour ago went over the from Queens to Manhattan because of a "smoke condition", and I saw uptown and going via Whitehall, got a on video at Cortlandt.

Update 4812 and 4899, as of 6pm today (seen with my own two), BOTH buses are sitting at Zerega, confirmed. 4812 is standard spec, 4899 is sporting some sort of a silver engine (report was it is a Detroit DD11...Need confirm on that).
Keepin' my fingers crossed for that DD11, THAT would be some bus! Take an already awesome bus and put a Detroit engine in it, that's a bus I wanna ride and/or foam over.

6160 at Academy Perth Amboy, and I actually saw a RTS still running over there too.

No matter of what line the R62As are going.. One line must get the OTT's, and riders just have to deal with that.. What if and riders start to complain with R62's on their lines? What can be done? Nothing! The same applies to the . If riders may dislike getting the old, riders may also dislike it, but they just have to deal. Many lines have to deal with OTT's, they just ride on the train and do not complain. The train will bring you from point A to point B. Thats enough.
Exactly, it's public transit that you pay $2.25 to ride. If you can't deal with older cars on your line then take the bus, take another line, or buy a car/take a cab.

You know that Gunhill has SBS wrapped 12xx's too right?? Unless u saw the depot logo...
Yeah I saw the depot logo.
Heading to/from Prevost for work.
I got that feeling, but I thought their service center was in North Jersey.

2 12xx LFSAs just passed me on the NJ Turnpike going south by exit 12, couldn't make out the exact numbers since I'm going north but they were SBS wrapped buses out of 126th. Figured I'd post that here.

Here's the picture proof of 6150 at Academy Perth Amboy

Academy Perth Amboy has 6150, picture proof coming later.
Also I'll be over here in their territory for a little while longer so I'll let you know if I see any other of their NABIs.

Kinda seems legit tho.
He's got a point on this one, why would they be restoring it? Didn't they already decide that it'd be the R46s and not the R44s in the museum? I'm not trying to get involved with all the foaming here, but I'll admit that's real interesting.

The R44 foam never stops... smh.

NO. It's not like they are being built from the SAME CARS...
1. Calm down
2. I'm almost positive they don't make that propulsion anymore.

Well, won't the new cars run in the same trainsets as the old ones? If that's the case, then the new motors will have to be compatible with the old ones.
R160 Alstom and Siemens can run in the same consist, so I'm sure they can do the same with these.
1 -
Why are people expecting that the traction motors would be changed?
AC Traction motors are not cheap by any means.
They could be thinking that because the new cars will probably have different traction, but I don't see why the converted cars would need new motors to be compatible with the new ones.
0 -
Alstom propulsion boxes on the bottoms of the cars have a nameplate with the Alstom logo on it. I don't know about the converted cars, but the new cars will more than likely have new traction motors as I'm positive Bombardier no longer makes the Adtranz propulsion from the 142As. Kawasaki has been building a lot of cars with Siemens propulsion lately (in the 160Bs as well as the PA-5s), so I'm expecting them.

QJT stop hating on the damn MCAT so much. It's small and crappy, they use cutaway buses, but what do you expect a system with low ridership serving a suburban area where most people drive? There ain't gonna be no New Flyers, Novas, etc. or even Gilligs purchased by MCAT until they get much higher ridership. Stop saying NJT has to take over when there's no LOCALS who ride it DAILY complaining about it. Same with OceanRide.

They're looking into DMU's or Diesel Multiple Units for scoot service, but really the truth is that the DE/DM30's suck, the LIRR should've gone with GE Genesis as Dual Mode Locomotives and PL42AC's Diesel Electric Locomotives instead.
If you want to read all about that DMU topic, look at this article below:
http://www.thetransp...p-branch-lines/
LIRR DMs should've been catenary powered. The catenary is in Penn Station and the tunnels, and with that you won't have incidents like that one with the pushcart.

I got to use one (not buy one) at an Apple Store today, for some reason the screen feels a bit smaller than the old one to me even though it's actually bigger. Still getting it though, just have to wait until October 1st (thank you Sprint for getting rid of the 14-day early upgrade policy).
