Thanks for the response, getting a day off in my current depot is a headache. Excited about starting my journey in track its where I wanted to be but got called for BO first..

Does anyone know how getting a day off in track works? In other words, how do you get to use an AVA?. I know in my depot we have to sit for roll call each day we want in order to get that day for the following month.

Got an email to report for pre-employment on the 22nd of September. I'm currently a B/O in my second year. I was wondering whether or not my accrued time transfers with me i.e., OTO and AVA's. Also will my pay rate change to the starting track worker rate or will it stay the same rate as B/O? Any information would be helpful. Thanks list #23XX..

Yea, that's definitely a thought however, I figured it was just how they were doing things.. I just finished my probation in another title and was considering switching over. I did send emails to the address on the OPA appointment letter and got no response.

Hey, I missed my OPA appointment back in January 2022. I was called in for Pre- employment back in April where I submitted the employment packet and took a drug test. Who do I contact concerning my OPA appointment?

I'm considering going through the pre-employment process for conductor. What employment address is used if your currently an MTA employee, is it the 180 Livingston Street or 130 Livingston. Greatly appreciate any replies..

Is it possible to skip the OPA and go straight to the pre-employment process. I just received a canvass and pre-employment email.

Yea, I submitted a slip to the union to swap my RDO and was told that to many operators are going to be out that day. Drawbacks of being a probie I guess.

Thanks, although I was confused about the curbside window at first once in the seat it became clear. Your tip really came in handy. I qualified yesterday, and I must say it's such a relief.

Can any members provide any tips on pulling into the bus stop without touching the curb. Also with the interlock in the 1 o'clock position is the interlock is engaged by pressing the brake and deactivated once all the doors are closed by pressing the the brake also?

Finally sworn in today, arrived at 8am didn't leave till about 4pm. I must say 180 was just like it was pre-covid, packed!!. Things are are moving fast completed all of my processing in 2 consecutive days. My class starts this Sunday June 6th. @+Young+ thanks for all your insight and valuable information. So, after many unanswered calls and emails I got a call at 7:30am asking me to report for a drug test the same day which was yesterday 6/2/21. Fortunately I had a free day and was able to report. Then today at approximately 4:30pm I received another call to report to 180 Livingston for the medical part on Friday 8am. Now I know this is such short notice but I've been trying to get a response from them for months. Since I have a few days left on my vacation I will definitely be reporting. I was told a class is starting on Sunday. Does anyone know if the first day is virtual or does it take place at Zerega? List #21xx.

I myself have sent numerous emails and have made numerous phone calls. No one has responded yet. The phone either goes straight to an answering service or just picks up & hangs up.
