  1. I think that it is necessary to create a PATH section on this forum!!!
  2. And the R late night shuttle from Bay Ridge/95th Street to Whitehall/South Ferry?
  3. Is it possible to have an update (for Q, 7 lines etc for example...)? Thanks.
  4. A curiosity about the E line: why are needed 29 minutes from Jamaica Ctr to Queens Plaza, while are needed 38 minutes from Queens Plaza to Jamaica Ctr? And why are needed 30 minutes from Queens Plaza to Chambers Street/WTC, while are needed only 22 minutes from Chambers Street/WTC? The total time is about the same (59/60 minutes) on the whole route, but why there is this great difference in the round trip in the same sections? Does it depends on an uneven of ground?

  6. http://www.mta.info/press-release/nyc-transit/overnight-work-advance-mta-subway-action-plan-efmr-lines Therefore no E trains in Manhattan late night for 2 weeks in the weekdays? Ridicolous........
  7. Why this fantastic site hasn't a PATH section forum? The PATH has an average weekday ridership of 270,000 and run 24 hours a day and 7 days a week !!! I think that it should be very interesting to have a own PATH section forum or a PATH / New Jersey Transit forum. Is it possible ? Thank you for the possible reply.
  8. MTA wishes to expand the program to line segments in the outer boroughs next year : http://www.mta.info/news/stories/?story=642
  9. Yes, and I don't realize it because for 108 years the advantage to have 4 tracks has allowed to this subway to be 24/7 without interruption for maintenance works.
  10. Can't also the NYC subway operate on 30/40 minute headways at night ( when there are the maintenance works, of course ) and to continue the service ?
  11. The Copenhagen Metro is operating on a 24/7 basis within a two-track system, which means maintenance activities will be performed in one track, while at the same time service will be carried out on the other track. This means that all track maintenance activities are performed in a four hour timeframe each night. Also Chicago, the PATCO in Philadelphia and the Path and the SIR in NYC ( the only other 24/7 systems in the world ) haven't this Fastrack ..............
  12. But Lexington avenue hasn't an alternative line and also in outer boroughs the situation is the same......
  13. The end of a myth. By By mythical subway open 24/7/365 in all the stations since 1904 !!! Thank you MTA............
  14. I think that in a 4 tracks subway system at least 1 track must be open 24 hours !!!
  15. I simply think that it is absurd to close a whole segment of a line if you have the luck to have 4 tracks !!!! Red line ( 15 minutes overnight ) and Blue line ( 30 minutes by 1.30 AM to 3.00 AM ) in Chicago have ALWAYS at least 1 track in service !!! Does know the MTA that NY is the city that never sleeps ?
